As Time to Talk Day approaches, we want to take a moment to remind our teams that your mental health matters, and that support is always available.

We know that starting a conversation about how you’re feeling isn’t always easy. Sometimes it can feel uncomfortable, overwhelming, or like you’re not quite sure where to begin. But talking really can make a difference.

That’s why we’re proud to have trained Mental Health First Aiders across Apollo Home Healthcare. They’re here to listen without judgement, offer support, and help guide you towards the right next steps, whether you need someone to talk to, signposting to additional support, or simply a listening ear.

Ahead of Time to Talk Day, we encourage everyone to check in with themselves and with those around them. A simple conversation could be the first step towards feeling supported 💚

At Apollo Home Healthcare, we believe our people are our greatest asset. That’s why we provide ongoing training and development to ensure every team member has the knowledge, skills, and confidence to deliver the highest standards of care.

In February alone, we’re delivering a wide range of training, including manual handling, medication administration, and basic and advanced life support.

For those providing specialist care, our Registered Nurses deliver tailored training in specialist clinical interventions and complex conditions, ensuring staff are fully prepared to meet each client’s individual needs.
Our nurse-led sign-off process ensures every clinical task is learned, observed, and practised under supervision until competency is achieved. Ongoing support, peer reviews, and refresher training help keep skills sharp and build confidence in practice.

At Apollo Home Healthcare, we provide expert clinical care in the comfort and familiarity of our clients’ homes.

Our approach ensures clients receive the same high standards of care they would in a hospital, while living safely and happily in surroundings they know, allowing families to stay together and create precious memories.

As specialists in complex clinical homecare, we believe care isn’t just about clinical support, it’s about helping clients transition safely from hospital to home, maintaining their independence, enhancing quality of life, and enabling families to thrive together.

BAFTA-winning actor Steve Pemberton generously donated his £12,800 prize money from The Weakest Link to Derian House Children’s Hospice, a truly special place close to his heart and ours.💚

Derian House supports more than 400 seriously ill babies, children and young people across the North West, some of whom we have the privilege of caring for at home. We see first-hand how their incredible team provides not just specialist clinical care, but comfort, compassion and precious moments of rest and reassurance for families when they need it most.

Acts of kindness like this make an immeasurable difference. Thanks to generosity like Steve’s, families can take time to rest, recharge and simply be together, creating memories that mean everything during the most challenging of times.

To everyone who supports services like Derian House, thank you. Your compassion helps us continue to support children and families to live with dignity, comfort and love every single day.

“Having carers that love and respect them, and who truly want the best for them, is wonderful and we feel we’ve found that with the care team we have.”

At Apollo Home Healthcare, we provide professional, person-centred care that enables our clients to live life to the fullest, whether at home or out in the community. Our dedicated carers bring comfort and confidence every single day, ensuring each person feels supported, respected, and valued.

Toby and Geneva, supported by their dedicated care team of 22, are able to live at home with their grandparents, receiving the same level of expert clinical care they would in hospital, while remaining in the comfort and familiarity of their own home.

With expert 24/7 care at the heart of everything we do, our team supports their complex needs while also providing tailored sensory activities and community outings, helping them enjoy meaningful moments, build connections, and live safely and comfortably.

This is just one example of how our carers go above and beyond, delivering expert, flexible, and personalised care around the clock.

Today is Brew Monday ☕💚

A day that reminds us of the importance of slowing down, making time for a tea or coffee, and checking in on one another.

Whether you’re switching off after a day’s work or preparing for a night shift, Brew Monday is a reminder to pause when you can, put the kettle on, and take a moment to connect.

At Apollo Home Healthcare, people sit at the heart of everything we do, from the clients we support, to the families who trust us with the care of their loved ones, and the teams who deliver care every day. We know that looking out for one another, having open conversations and offering a listening ear can make a real difference.

Whether it’s a quick message, a phone call, or sharing a cup of tea together, today is a gentle reminder to reach out. Support doesn’t always have to be a big gesture, sometimes it starts with simply asking, “How are you?”

Let’s take a moment to connect, be kind and support one another 💚

Looking back at 2025 💚

As we reflect on the past year, we’re incredibly proud of everything that has been achieved together. In 2025, we successfully implemented 70 complex care packages and supported the discharge of clients from a number of hospitals, helping them continue their care at home.

We celebrated many special moments along the way, from DYR being decannulated and closing his stoma site, to welcoming back a familiar face, John, and supporting clients to create meaningful holiday memories. We loved sharing in the creativity of our clients, including H writing a beautiful poem. We also connected with people at networking events and, together, raised an incredible £11,492.08 for When You Wish Upon a Star.

A huge thank you to all of our clients for placing your trust in us, and to our dedicated care teams for your compassion, commitment, and outstanding work every single day. Here’s to everything we’ve achieved, and to what’s still to come! 💚

We’re excited to be exhibiting at the first of many conferences in 2026, proudly supporting Brain Injury Group at their Child Brain Injury Conference on 15 January 2026 at the ICC, Birmingham.

As a provider of complex clinical homecare, this event is an important opportunity for us to connect with professionals dedicated to improving outcomes for children and families affected by brain injury.

Our Commercial Managers, Joy Cooper and Grace Fletcher, will be on hand to welcome you to our exhibition stand, where wellness gift boxes, a prize giveaway and great conversation await.

Joy will also be attending the pre-conference reception on 14 January which will be held within the Gin Terrace at The Distillery, Birmingham, and is looking forward to networking with fellow exhibitors, sponsors, speakers and attendees.

We look forward to seeing you there! 💚
