Seborrheic Keratosis Treated with CO₂ Laser
Seborrheic keratosis is a common, benign (non-cancerous) skin growth that often appears as a rough, waxy, or “stuck-on” looking patch. These lesions can be safely and effectively removed using a CO₂ (carbon dioxide) laser, which precisely ablates the lesion with minimal damage to surrounding skin.
The CO₂ laser works by delivering a focused beam of light that gently vaporises the treated tissue. This method is especially useful for raised or thicker seborrheic keratoses, and can result in a smoother skin surface with excellent cosmetic outcomes. Healing typically involves a period of redness and slight scabbing as the skin regenerates.
