At Taylor Biddle Opticians we aim to provide top quality, professional eye care and products. Our tw Two years later the Wombourne practice was opened.

Taylor Biddle Opticians was founded in 1994 by Tracey Taylor and Mike Biddle at the Compton premises. Mike left in 2010, and in 2014 Olha Lac joined Tracey as co-director, adding to Tracey’s wealth of experience in the optical world. Olha has worked for Taylor Biddle since 2005 and has gained extra qualifications in visual dyslexia which has helped many children achieve their potential. In April 2021 Hasan Akhtar joined Tracey and Olha as co-director after working at Taylor Biddle since 2018. Hasan specialises in Medical Retina and Glaucoma and encourages further education and training to ensure the practice is at the forefront of providing an excellent eyecare service. Taylor Biddle team members stay with us for many years, ensuring a strong, knowledgeable cohesive team. Customer service is at the heart of what we all do. This ethos, combined with heavily investing in the latest technology to improve eye care, plus offering an extensive range of frames and lenses, ensures that we will always offer the very best clinical service.

What an unforgettable weekend in London ✨👓

This weekend, Taylor Biddle Opticians had the honour of attending the Opticians Awards 🏆🎉 Being part of such a prestigious event, surrounded by so many inspiring practices from across the UK, was an incredible experience.

Although we didn’t take home the win in what was the most competitive category of the awards, we were absolutely thrilled and proud to be finalists 💫👏 Reaching this stage is a huge achievement and a true reflection of the passion, dedication and care our entire team puts into everything we do, every single day.

A massive thank you to our amazing team, our loyal patients, and everyone who continues to support us 💙👁️ We’re leaving London feeling proud, motivated and excited for what’s still to come.

What an unforgettable experience for the entire Taylor Biddle team at this year’s Hakim Group Annual Retreat! ✨

This year’s theme, “Live Your Ikiguy”, encouraged us to reflect on our purpose, passion, and the impact we make every day. The retreat was truly inspiring from start to finish, with an incredible line-up of speakers including Deborah Meaden, Sir Lenny Henry, and Jonny Wilkinson, who each shared powerful insights that left us energised, motivated, and ready to bring even more heart into the work we do.

The celebrations continued into the evening with a stunning Great Gatsby–themed gala dinner, and we’re absolutely over the moon to share that our very own Tom Green was awarded Dispensing Optician of the Year! 🥂✨
Tom’s dedication, expertise, and genuine care for our patients shine through every single day, and we couldn’t be prouder to see him recognised on such a special night.
