✨ A little life & business update — from me ✨

2022 — I took the leap and started my own business in Mini First Aid Shropshire. Then in 2024 — I expanded further and took over Mini First Aid Wolverhampton. At the time, that expansion aligned with the direction I believed I was heading in. But sometimes plans change — and the direction I was moving towards in 2024 is no longer the direction I’m heading in now.

As part of that realignment, last weekend if you passed my office in Cannock, you will have seen that I officially started to move out of my office and I want to share with you that the MFA Wolverhampton franchise has officially gone up for sale. All current booked classes are running as normal :D

The last 4 years of running my own business have been some of the most challenging and rewarding of my life. I’ve learned so much — about business, resilience, boundaries, and myself. Most importantly though I’ve been there for Bri. I haven’t missed milestones. I haven’t missed the big days. And that will always matter more to me than anything else.

I’m pleased to say that my Cannock office has now found its new owner, and we’re currently moving the last few things out to allow their dreams to grow. I genuinely couldn’t have wished for better people to continue building something special in the space we renovated with so much love and care - I will share more very soon on these guys because honestly - it feels so right.

My health, alongside a number of other factors, has contributed to this decision. While it hasn’t been easy, it feels right. For the first time in a long while, I’m allowing myself to pause and focus on me — with self-kindness and honesty. Im slowing down.

✨ 2026 feels like the year of:
Change. Shifting. Adventure. Self-kindness. Acceptance. Personally and professionally.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this chapter. This isn’t an ending — it’s just realignment 🤍

❄️ Snowman Fun + Prizes Up for Grabs! ⛄️

Yesterday, Bri made her very first snowman at the park… and when it was time to leave, she absolutely refused to leave it behind…
So… naturally… I pulled her and her new snowman friend home in the sled 😂 Mum life.

It got me thinking – we’d LOVE to see your snowmen too! And hear about memories made!

I hope everyone has stayed safe today. Bris school declared a snow day and with me having the day off due to another school shutting its doors for safety reasons we headed to the park at 8:30am to make memories ✨
It was then back home to entertain an excited toddler whilst I rang venues and sent emails out.

All classes are still running tomorrow, If anything changes overnight emails will be sent to participants again in the morning.

The Met Office has issued an amber warning for heavy snow, associated with Storm Goretti. This is likely to cause travel disruption tonight (Thursday 8 Jan) into tomorrow (Friday 9 Jan).

If you have an outpatient appointment please attend as normal if safe to do so.

Remember – slips, trips and falls are more likely during icy and wet weather.

If you’re heading out:
Wear shoes or boots with good grip
Keep your hands free and wear gloves
Avoid going out early in the morning or late at night when it’s icy and dark
Keep warm and wear layers
Carry a mobile phone and let someone know your plans

If you or someone else falls, try to stay calm. Take a couple of minutes to check for any pain or injuries and see if you think you can get up. If they need further help, call NHS 111. Call 999 if there’s a serious or life threatening injury.

Where safe to do so – check on friends, relatives or neighbours, particularly older people, or those with long-term conditions to see if they need any help amidst the cold weather snap.
