WORLD KIDNEY DAY 13th MARCH
WOW what a wild ride the last few months have been im 18 weeks post Nephrectomy and I’m almost 7 weeks post transplant and everything is starting to settle down I’m now down to once a week appointments for bloods and check ups! Kidney is doing as it should just a few fine tuning with my phosphate magnesium and my HB levels! Apart from that I can eat and drink pretty much what I want! Still quite fatigued but that’s to be expected especially waking 3/4 times a night to p*e lol… looking back on my journey it feels like a dream! I still can’t believe I have a kidney and I’m so so thankful to my donor and his family for this amazing gift of life! Still quite restricted on what I can do and where I can go while my anti rejection meds are so high my immunity is super low … so once I hit 3 months those restrictions should life and I can get out there and live my best life!
So so thankful 🙏🏻 💛
