Our Tickled Pink raffle is now up and running in our reception area here at Newcross. For anyone who would like to take part please pop in and see us. We will be joined by Tanya singing some classic songs performing live here from 11am 24th October.

Today we have enjoyed a trip out to the The Black Country Living Museum. We have saw many old buildings stepping back in time sharing some memories. The sweets was quite nice with the movie 🎥

Thank you Tyler and Emily Wolverhampton Wanderers Foundation for today’s music bingo morning. Residents have been enjoying a sing along to some old favourites, enjoying a dance and being together in each other’s company. A very enjoyable morning.

Today our residents enjoyed a lovely outing to Hollybush Garden Centre & Aquaria . We stopped for a cup of tea and a toasted teacake before taking a sneak peek at their beautiful Christmas displays and exploring the wonderful autumn pumpkin arrangements.

To finish our trip, we visited the Aquarium where we picked up two new fish to join our care home tank – our residents can’t wait to see them settle in!

Harvest Festival Holy Communion

Today our residents at Newcross Care Home were blessed to join in a beautiful Harvest Festival themed Holy Communion, led by our friends at Holy Trinity Church.

The service was filled with hymns, prayers, and reflections on gratitude, reminding us of the importance of community, sharing, and giving thanks for the gifts of the season. Residents enjoyed the autumnal decorations and the warm, uplifting spirit that Harvest always brings.

A huge thank you to Holy Trinity for making this special time possible and for helping us bring faith, tradition, and togetherness into our home.

💙Alice Court Take Fundraising to New Heights for International Animal Rescue 💙

In celebration of World Animal Day, General Manager, Michelle Love-Patel, from Alice Court Care Home - Avery Collection, is preparing for the ultimate challenge - abseiling off the stunning Peacehaven Cliffs.

Michelle is taking on this daring feat to raise money and awareness for International Animal Rescue, a charity dedicated to protecting animals in need across the globe. 🐒

“This is such an important cause,” said Michelle. “I’m thrilled to be able to take part in something that not only pushes me out of my comfort zone but also supports vulnerable animals who desperately need our help.”

🎉 Grand Opening at Springwood Corner Care Home! 🎉

Springwood Corner Care Home - Avery Collection, a brand-new 62-bed care home in Gravesend, celebrated its grand opening on Thursday 11th September 2025 with a fun 1940s-themed event 🕺💃.

Over 200 guests, including Avery Healthcare executives, local residents, and community leaders, joined the celebration, featuring a plaque unveiling by Mayor Jenny Wallis, a red-carpet welcome, canapés, prosecco, live entertainment, and even a stilt walker! ✨
