Today, Nuffield Health Wolverhampton Hospital have been fundraising for Cystic Fibrosis by celebrating ‘Wear it Yellow Day’. With an array of fundraisers taking place today; bottle in a bag, raffles, tombola’s, cake sales etc, it has been a jam-packed day of positivity, smiles and most importantly… all things YELLOW!

This charity is an extremely special one for many in this hospital, but especially our ward nurse Shannon, who has supported Cystic Fibrosis Trust many times over the years, by doing fantastic fundraisers just like today . Gia, Shannon’s amazing daughter, came along today to help raise the funds and push ticket sales for the tombola, which wasn’t hard with that cheeky smile of hers!

It has been an amazing day, with so much support from staff, visitors, and patients, we have raised an incredible:£767!! The ward team are also taking on a Snowdon hike to raise even more money towards the final total to be gifted to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, so this amount is just the beginning of the incredible donation which will have such an impact on so many lives.

As always, another great day at Nuffield Health Wolverhampton - what a team💚

Thankyou to all the local businesses who helped make today such a success:

Kind-hearted team members from Nuffield Health Wolverhampton Hospital have brought smiles to young patients this Easter. Charlie Cooper - Director of Operations, Mollie Watson - Hospital Support Administrator and Helen Watson - Patient Services Manager, delivered more than 40 Easter eggs to New Cross Hospital as a thoughtful surprise.

These eggs were generously donated to the Paediatric Cystic Fibrosis Team, which will share them with patients over the Easter period. Dr Sally Edwards, Consultant General Paediatrics and Lead on Cystic Fibrosis, and Rachael Trevitt, Paediatric Cystic Fibrosis Nurse Specialist, warmly welcomed the donation.

Amie Rogers, Lead Digital & Engagement Officer for the RWT Charity said: “A huge thank you to Nuffield Health for supporting our Paediatric Cystic Fibrosis patients. It was lovely to hear that one of its colleagues had a personal connection to RWT, which inspired the support for us this year. This act of kindness highlights the impact of community support and collaboration within healthcare”.

Last week we had the opportunity to educate local GP's and Healthcare Professionals on managing BPH and the latest innovation in treatment, Aquablation Therapy. A sunny opportunity to network over dinner and hear from our Urology Consultant, Mr Selvan. The attendees were very engaged and asked lots of questions.
