Make it make sense! 😂

I see this every single week in the clinic. You can sit for a 4-hour tattoo shading session on your ribs, but a tiny needle treatment is where we draw the line?

Here is the truth about numbing:
For many treatments (especially Upper Face Toxin), the needle is so incredibly fine, we often call them "invisible needles" that the treatment is usually over before your brain even registers a scratch.

In fact, waiting 20 minutes for the numbing cream to work often takes longer than the actual injection time (which is about 2 minutes)!

However... I am not here to judge your pain threshold 🙅‍♀️

For my patients, the goal of lip filler is rarely about size. It is about replacing the hydration and structure that time has taken away.

Why do lips change as we age?
It isn't just about them getting thinner.

1️⃣ Loss of Hydration: We lose our natural Hyaluronic Acid, leading to a "wrinkled" or dehydrated look on the lip body itself.
2️⃣ The Long Lip: As the structural support creates a downward turn, the lip rolls inward. This makes the philtrum (the space between your nose and top lip) look longer, which is a key sign of facial ageing.

The Fix:
