🚆 For some people, travel can be a lot to take in.
Busy stations, bright lights and loud announcements can make rail journeys feel overstimulating, perhaps even overwhelming.

This National Inclusion Week, we’re proud to launch our new Sensory Packs curated to help make journeys more comfortable and manageable.

Each pack includes:
👂 Ear defenders
🕶️ Sunglasses
🖐️ Sensory items
🧘 Mindfulness activities

Simple tools to support passengers who may experience sensory overload during their journey.

They’re free to collect from ticket offices across the network, because everyone deserves to feel supported when they travel.

💛🌍 Today is World Su***de Prevention Day.

Sometimes it only takes a moment. A conversation, a cuppa, a listening ear. Here’s a poem written by BCHFT's David Stocks to remind us all to take five to save a life.

Take five,
It’s all it takes
To be that listening ear,
While you share a cuppa

Take five,
For life’s mistakes
For those filled with fear,
Like a pressure cooker

Take five,
A friendship makes
A friendly hand,
For your old mucker

Take five,
Anxieties brakes
Just to hear,
Those who suffer

Take five,
To make the shakes
Disappear,
From mental clutter

Take five,
When sadness breaks
Make it clear,
Your anxieties buffer

Take five,
For loneliness sakes
Hold them dear,
And be their shoulder

Take five,
In life’s high stakes
I ask everyone here
From young to older

Take five,
As the lost awakes
Bring them cheer,
For when it’s colder

Take five,
The difference it makes
By being sincere,
It’s a real life saver

Take five,
To save a life
Until the storm clouds clear,
You will always be there
