This week we had the pleasure of welcoming Jenny from to speak with all our young people about the tools and skills used to build the Sutton Hoo ship. She also brought along some wooden birds, which our young people absolutely loved decorating using wood chippings and shavings from the ship build.

Your talk and engagement with the groups was truly inspiring, and it was wonderful to see how captivated and enthusiastic everyone was throughout the session. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, creativity, and passion with us. ⚒

This Mental Health Awareness Week, the theme is Take Action 💚

Take action for yourself, for someone else, and for us all.

Here at The Nest, we’re taking action by:

🌿 Moving more with our daily walks
🎨 Getting creative with our Sutton Hoo Wooden Birds
💬 Coming together to talk openly about mental health in group discussions
🍽️ Cooking for each other and sharing meals together

For us, every day is about raising awareness and taking action to support young people’s mental health.

Yesterday, we welcomed Gemma from Suffolk Police to speak to our young people about online safety. 💻

She delivered a highly interactive session that kept everyone engaged from start to finish — and we can’t wait to have her back!

As our lives become increasingly digital, it’s so important that young people feel confident and equipped to navigate the online world safely 🌍✨

Yesterday we had the pleasure of Jo joining us to deliver an introduction to equine therapy with our young people 🐴

Equine therapy is a powerful approach that uses interaction with horses to support emotional wellbeing, build confidence, and develop trust and communication skills.

It was a fantastic session and a great opportunity for our young people to try something new in a calm, supportive environment. Thank you, Jo!

Happy National Gardening Day 🌱🌷

What a beautiful start to the summer term! These stunning tulips have created such a warm welcome along our driveway.

This lovely selection was chosen and planted by our young people, and it’s a great reminder of how putting in the hard work during the darker months really pays off. Now we get to enjoy the results in full bloom.

We welcomed back our Monday group yesterday and are looking forward to welcoming our Wednesday group tomorrow!
