Getting your body moving doesn’t need to be a major production.

I’ve just shared a new 10-minute mobility routine on the blog. It’s designed to fit into your morning or act as a quick reset during the day, whether you’re training for a race or just want to feel a bit less stiff after sitting at a desk.

These are the same simple, effective movements I use with my online coaching clients to keep them feeling strong and moving well.

If you’re using Mounjaro to help with your weight loss journey, you’ve likely seen some incredible results already. It’s a powerful tool, but there’s one thing we really need to keep an eye on: your muscle mass.

When you lose weight rapidly, your body doesn't just burn fat: it can also tap into your hard-earned muscle. Losing muscle can slow down your metabolism and leave you feeling less "toned" than you’d hoped.

The good news? You can absolutely protect your muscle while the weight comes off. Here are three essentials to focus on:

1. Lift something heavy. Resistance training is the best way to tell your body that your muscle is still needed. Aim for a consistent programme that challenges you.
2. Prioritise protein. Your muscles need fuel to stay strong. Ensure you're hitting your daily protein targets even if your appetite is lower.
3. Don't skip recovery. Your body is doing a lot of work right now. Quality sleep and rest days are non-negotiable for muscle maintenance.

If your workouts feel like punishment… no wonder you “can’t be bothered”.

Training shouldn’t be a weekly chore you dread. The best plan is the one you actually enjoy doing : whether that’s lifting, running, boxing, swimming, hiking, or just getting stronger without living in a gym.

As an ex-rugby lad who’s had his fair share of injuries, I’m big on one thing: keep it fun AND keep you moving well. Enjoyable training + smart progression = better consistency and less niggles.

It’s Monday. You don’t need a massive makeover… you just need one small win.

For today (Jan 26), pick ONE thing you can tick off:
• 10 min walk before work
• 15 min strength circuit at home
• A proper warm-up before your run
• Drink the water, eat the protein
• Book that massage you’ve been putting off

Small wins stack up. And when they stack up, your body starts feeling better, moving better, and training stops feeling like a battle.

If you’re on Mounjaro and the weight is flying off… there’s a hidden problem nobody chats about enough.

When you lose weight fast, you can lose muscle too (some research suggests up to 39%). And muscle is what keeps your metabolism, strength, joints and confidence in a good place.

I’m on Mounjaro myself and I’m down 6 stone : and the biggest game-changer for keeping muscle has been simple.

My rule: 2–3 strength sessions per week.
Nothing fancy. Just consistent.
