Margaret, Rosemary, Anthea, Pauline, and Joy all enjoyed a lovely, relaxing day together 🦶💦🎶

The room was filled with soothing music 🎵, warm conversation ☕💬, and lots of smiles 😊 as everyone settled down to enjoy their calming foot spas. The ladies spent time reading magazines 📖, chatting amongst themselves 🗣️, and sharing laughter throughout the afternoon 😂💐

Margaret said how much she had enjoyed the foot spa and told me how relaxed and comfortable it had made her feel 😌✨. Rosemary said she loved the peaceful atmosphere 🌸 and enjoyed listening to the soothing music while chatting with the others 🎶💞.

Anthea enjoyed reading through the magazines 📚 and joining in with the conversations 😊, while Pauline and Joy both appeared very content and relaxed 🌷💆‍♀️ as they spent quality time together.

The afternoon created a warm, calm, and happy environment for everyone 🌞🌺, helping the ladies to feel settled, cared for, and thoroughly pampered 💖✨

💚 In support of Mental Health Awareness Month, we enjoyed taking part in a meaningful wellbeing activity where we explored what wellbeing means to us. 🌿✨

We spent time discussing ways we can look after our mental health, support one another, and the things that help us feel happy, calm, safe, and connected 😊🫶. Together, we created a beautiful Wellbeing Tree 🌳, carefully decorating it with colourful leaves 🍃🍂.

On each leaf, we wrote words and phrases that represent wellbeing to us, such as kindness 💕, friendship 🤝, happiness 🌞, mindfulness 🧘, family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦, laughter 😄, confidence ⭐, and feeling valued 🌈.

It was wonderful to hear everyone’s ideas and reflections, and our finished tree is a lovely reminder of the importance of caring for our mental health and wellbeing every day 💚✨.

We had a fabulous day here at Woodbridge Lodge celebrating 📚 Reading Week 📚 with the children from St Mary’s Primary School, who came in to read to us all. 😊

Perry, Pete, David, Shirley, Mike, Sandy, June, Doreen, Pauline, Margaret, and Rosemary all enjoyed being read to by the children, who spent time going round and chatting with everyone. 🥰 It was so lovely to see everyone interacting, and Joan and Mike were wonderful in helping the children whenever they got a little stuck. 🌟

We really enjoy having the children come to visit us, and they are always so well behaved — a real asset to the school 👏 with just a little cheekiness thrown in to keep us all young at heart and make everyone giggle 😂❤️

We look forward to the next time we see the children. It is always a pleasure to welcome them and to have such a lovely relationship with the school. 💕📖

Wow, what a wonderful time we had with Creative Mojo 🎨✨ creating a very special piece of art together! Everyone had so much fun getting involved and sharing their ideas. 😊
We all loved creating a beautiful piece of artwork for Sir David Attenborough 🌍🦋🐘 to celebrate his 100th birthday 🎉. First, we sat together and discussed different ideas about what we could create and how we could make it special. There were lots of fantastic suggestions and creative thinking from everyone involved. 💡🎨
Once we had our ideas ready, we got to work using lots of colours, creativity, and imagination 🖌️🌈. There was plenty of laughter, chatting, and teamwork throughout the session, and everyone enjoyed being part of such a meaningful activity. 🥰
By the end, we had created a truly wonderful piece of art that everyone was very proud of 👏💖. It was lovely to see everyone expressing themselves creatively while celebrating someone as inspiring as Sir David Attenborough 🦁🌿.
A big thank you to Creative Mojo 🌟 for such an enjoyable and engaging session — we all had an amazing time and cannot wait for the next one! 😊

We all had such a lovely visit from Bailey 🐶 and Nala 🐱 this week! It was wonderful to spend time with them both, giving them lots of cuddles 🤗 and affection while chatting with their owners and hearing all about what they have been up to recently. 💛

Bailey was, as always, everyone’s favourite ⭐ and brought so many smiles to people throughout the visit 😊. Angela and Perry especially adore him and loved spending extra time with him, giving him plenty of fuss and attention 🥰. He has such a calm and friendly nature, and everyone always looks forward to seeing him. 🐾

Nala also kept everyone entertained with her funny personality and curious nature 😺. She is always so alert and interested in everything going on around her, which makes everyone laugh 😂. She spent lots of time exploring, watching everyone closely 👀, and enjoying all the attention she received. 💕

Animal visits always bring so much happiness, comfort, and conversation to everyone 🏡💖, and it was lovely to see so many smiling faces during their visit 😊.

A big thank you to Julie and Chelsea 🌸 for taking the time to bring Bailey and Nala in to see us. Their visits are always greatly appreciated, and they bring so much joy to everyone. 🌟

We are already looking forward to seeing Bailey 🐶 and Nala 🐱 again very soon! 💕

“🎳 We went bowling as it was Rosemary’s wish on our wishing tree 🌳, and it turned out to be a fantastic outing for everyone. Rosemary is getting very good at bowling and absolutely loves going 😊🎉 Her confidence and excitement grow every time we visit, and she was so proud of herself while cheering everyone else on too 👏💛
Mike, Jonathan, Linda, and Tessa all had a brilliant time as well, enjoying some friendly competition throughout the games 😄🏆 There was lots of laughter 😂, encouragement 🙌, and celebration whenever someone scored a strike or spare 🎳⭐, which made the atmosphere really fun and positive for everyone.
It was lovely to spend quality time together ❤️, creating happy memories and sharing so many smiles 😊 Everyone left in great spirits, chatting about their favourite moments from the day 🥰 We all really enjoyed the experience and are already looking forward to going again soon for another fun-filled bowling trip 🎳✨”

We were delighted to celebrate VE Day with such a memorable event 🇬🇧✨ The occasion was marked by a warm and uplifting atmosphere, with everyone enjoying a wonderful selection of music 🎶 and a delicious spread prepared by our kitchen team 🍽️

It was particularly pleasing to see so many people coming together to sing, dance 💃🕺 and share in the spirit of the day. The thoughtful decorations 🎉 and attention to detail helped create a fitting tribute, while also fostering a strong sense of community and togetherness 🤝

📸 National Photography Month!

We all loved creating a beautiful collage to celebrate National Photography Month, selecting photos from the many activities we’ve taken part in. It was such a lovely opportunity for everyone to look back and reflect on just how much fun we’ve had together.

We carefully chose our favourite moments, spending time looking through all the photos, sharing memories, and talking about the experiences behind each one. From smiles and laughter to teamwork and creativity, every picture tells a story.

Bringing them all together into this special collage was a wonderful way to celebrate our journey and the memories we’ve made along the way. 💛

We all enjoyed a lovely coffee morning, sharing delicious cakes made by our wonderful Denise in the kitchen. The table was full of treats, warm drinks, and plenty of smiles as everyone settled in for a relaxed and friendly morning together.

We listened to great 60s and 70s music in the background, which added such a cheerful and nostalgic feel while we chatted and caught up with one another. There was lots of laughter, conversation, and shared stories throughout the morning.

It was especially nice to see some friendly faces who popped in for coffee morning that we hadn’t seen in a while — it really made the gathering feel extra special. Everyone seemed to really enjoy being together, and it was a warm and welcoming atmosphere from start to finish.

Isla the therapy dog visit 🐶💛 We all loved having Isla come to visit us and spend time with everyone, bringing lots of cuddles, smiles, and happiness 😊✨ It was a really calming and joyful experience having her in the room, and she made such a lovely connection with everyone she met.

We also had the chance to chat with her owners, Ros and Jon 💬, who told us more about Isla and the important work she does as a therapy dog. It was really interesting to learn about how she helps bring comfort and support to people just by being her friendly, gentle self 🐾💞

Perry especially loved having Isla sit on her lap and give her cuddles 🥰🐕—it was such a sweet moment and brought lots of smiles all around. Everyone enjoyed taking turns stroking her, talking to her, and simply enjoying her calm and friendly nature.

We all absolutely loved having Isla visit us, and it was clear she enjoyed visiting too 🐾💛 It was a heartwarming experience that left everyone feeling happier and relaxed, and we would be delighted to see her again 🌟
