We had another lovely visit from St Mary’s for a special Easter Holy Communion ✝️🌸. Father Nigel and Veronica led a beautiful service, complete with hymns 🎶 and a reading delivered by our very own Pauline, who—as always—did a fabulous job 👏.

Afterwards, Father Nigel and Veronica spent time chatting with Betty, Doreen, and everyone who wished to have a conversation 💬. There was a truly lovely atmosphere throughout the home 💛, making it a very special and uplifting occasion for all. 🌷

This morning, we hosted a relaxing and enjoyable spa session, providing residents with a calming and therapeutic experience. The session included soothing hand massages and revitalising foot soaks, both of which were very well received 💆‍♀️🦶

We were delighted to welcome Linda, Rosemary, Joy, Irene, Sandy, and Tessa, who all appeared to thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to be pampered. complemented by gentle spa music 🎶 and a selection of magazines, created a peaceful and comfortable environment.

Residents engaged in pleasant conversation throughout, contributing to a warm and sociable atmosphere 😊 Overall, the session was a great success, promoting relaxation, wellbeing, and positive social interaction 🌿

We had a lovely time being entertained by the fabulous Memory Lane Singers, who performed a wonderful selection of songs for us all 🎶✨

Margaret, Shirley, and Pauline were happily singing along to the beat, while Jonathan, Irene, Pete, Linda and Doreen joined in by shaking their percussion instruments in time with the music — all doing a fantastic job and adding that extra special touch to the performance.

We always love welcoming the ladies back into our home, and as always, they did not disappoint. We won’t see them again until Christmas (which feels far away!), but we are already eagerly looking forward to their return 🎄💛

Creative Mojo Morning 🎨✨

Jonathan, Rosemary, Irene, Shirley, Linda, Anthea, June, and Doreen thoroughly enjoyed a Creative Mojo session this morning, focused on Easter-themed arts and crafts. Participants created a range of work including Easter bunnies 🐰, decorated eggs 🥚, and other seasonal designs using a variety of materials and resources.

The session provided a wonderful opportunity for creativity, discussion, and shared inspiration. Everyone engaged enthusiastically, exchanging ideas and showcasing their individual artwork. A variety of paints and techniques were used to explore different patterns, textures, and effects, resulting in some truly impressive pieces of work 🎨

We are very grateful to Creative Mojo for delivering such an enjoyable, well-structured, and engaging session. We look forward to welcoming them back in the near future for more creative activities and experiences 🌟

We had a truly wonderful time watching What No Cake perform 🎶✨ The music was beautifully delivered, the song selection was excellent, and the overall performance was of an exceptionally high standard 🎤🎸

From beginning to end, the atmosphere was warm, engaging, and full of positive energy. The band’s passion and musicianship were evident throughout, creating a memorable experience for everyone in attendance 🎵😊

Our sincere thanks to the band for such an enjoyable and well-presented performance 🙌🌟 We all had a fantastic evening and very much look forward to seeing you again in the near future 🎉🎶

The recent Pets as Therapy visit was a highly positive experience for all involved 🐾. Isla spent time visiting individuals throughout the setting, engaging warmly and responding well to the attention and interaction she received 😊.

Perry particularly benefited from the visit, enjoying having Isla sit on her lap, which appeared to have a calming and therapeutic effect for both 🐶💖. Pete and Jonathan also engaged positively, spending time interacting with Isla and conversing with her owner, Jon 💬.

These visits continue to provide meaningful emotional and social benefits 🌟, and we very much look forward to welcoming Isla again in the future, as her presence brings significant joy and comfort to all 🤍.

We had a wonderful afternoon concocting our very own spinach smoothie 🥬🍹 using some awesome ingredients. Shirley, June, Linda, and Anthea had fun taking turns adding the different ingredients to the blender 🥤, and everyone worked brilliantly as a team 🤝.

Lewis was our chief blender man 👨‍🍳, and he helped create a truly wonderful blend that we all enjoyed 😄. Afterwards, everyone sampled a little taste of the smoothie 🥄, and we received some very interesting feedback—from “absolutely delicious” 😋 to “mmm… interesting” 🤔!

It was a very fun way to spend the afternoon 🎉.

We also had a history lesson about spinach 📚 to celebrate National Spinach Day 🥬, and everyone learned some very interesting facts 💡.

Residents and staff thoroughly enjoyed celebrating Red Nose Day 🎉, coming together to take part in a range of fun and engaging activities. Everyone embraced the theme by wearing pyjamas 💤, something red ❤️, or something silly 🤡, creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere.

Sandy and Pauline expressed how wonderful it was to see everyone participating, particularly enjoying the relaxed and cheerful spirit of wearing pyjamas 😊. Pauline especially enjoyed wearing a red nose 🔴, commenting with amusement, “How funny is this!”

Throughout the day, residents and staff engaged in quizzes 🧠, arts and crafts 🎨, and shared interesting facts about the significance of this special event. The celebration provided a meaningful opportunity for social interaction, creativity, and enjoyment for all involved 🌟.

We had a lovely visit from the Kesgrave Singers 🎶, who came to perform for us and treated everyone to a wonderful selection of songs, along with a little bit of history behind them 📖. We even enjoyed some funny poems that had everyone giggling 😂!

It was a truly enjoyable afternoon ☀️, with Sandy, Linda, Pauline, Rosemary, Anthea, Jonathan, Pete and Margaret all singing along 🎤 and having a great time 😊. We very much look forward to seeing them again soon 💕.

Jonathan, Rosemary, Anthea, Shirley, Irene, and June participated in a structured “Guess the Fruit” activity 🍎🍊. we were blindfolded and encouraged to identify a selection of fruits using taste alone, supporting sensory stimulation, cognitive engagement, and reminiscence.

Jonathan demonstrated excellent recognition skills, correctly identifying 7 out of 8 fruits. Shirley engaged positively throughout and expressed enjoyment of the variety of flavours experienced. Anthea showed strong engagement, offering detailed and thoughtful descriptions of each fruit she sampled.

The session was well received by all and promoted social interaction 🤝, communication 💬, and sensory awareness, contributing to overall wellbeing and a positive shared experience within the group.

Our St Patrick’s Day celebrations were a great success and thoroughly enjoyed 🍀. The day began with an engaging quiz, providing an opportunity to learn a range of interesting facts about this significant cultural occasion 📚.

This was followed by time spent listening to Irish music, which added to the enjoyment of the day 🎶.

A highlight of the event was the excellent lunch prepared by our chef 👨‍🍳. A traditional Guinness pie was served with mash and seasonal vegetables, followed by a Baileys cheesecake for dessert 🍽️. The meal was very well received and appreciated. To complete the experience, a glass of Guinness was enjoyed alongside lunch 🍺.

Overall, it was a memorable occasion, combining learning, relaxation, and high-quality dining in a warm and celebratory setting 😊.
