CLINICAL TRAINING CLOSURE AFTERNOON 17.9.25

Please note the Practice, including the Dispensary will be closed completely this afternoon from 1pm for staff training and there will be no clinical staff available at the surgery from 1 pm. There will also be no access to the building after this time.

Tour of Britain Cycling Race 2.9.25

Reminder that the cycle race is coming through Framlingham and there will be rolling road blocks, estimated time between 12.50 and 13.45. Delays are expected of around 15-20 minutes whilst roads are closed. Please allow extra time to attend any appointments at the surgery

Patient Information – Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for Weight Loss

You may have seen recent media reports stating that GPs can now prescribe weight-loss injections like Mounjaro. While this is true nationally, in our area (Suffolk and North East Essex), *GPs are not commissioned to provide these medications directly for weight loss.*

Instead, the local NHS has chosen a Community Outreach service model. This means:

Access is only available through a specialist NHS weight management service (WMCOS). This is not currently operating at present.

Patients must be clinically assessed to determine eligibility.

Only those meeting strict NHS criteria (including certain BMI and health conditions) will be offered treatment.

📌 Please do not book a GP appointment just to request Mounjaro.
Your GP will not be able to prescribe it outside of the community specialist pathway.

TRAINING AFTERNOON
The surgery will be closed from 13:00 to 14:00 for all staff training.
We reopen at 14:00 for prescription collection and reception support.
There will be no clinical staff in the practices. All clinical staff will be attending ICB arranged training.
