The brain evolved so that we could move.
Vigorous movement promotes the release of feel good hormones, and balances out stress hormones.
So much so that 20 minutes, three times a week has the same effect as antidepressants for many people.

"Dr. Grubbs hopes that they will at least encourage people to be more thoughtful about being so quick to label broad groups in the first place.

“Maybe being a little more cautious and kind could be one implication,”"

New research found that those aged 18 to 25 believe theirs is the most narcissistic and entitled living generation. But that doesn’t make it true.

"...participants are more willing to see their Group “win,” rather than have outcomes where all people end up better overall"

Awareness of this redundant evolutionary quirk means that we may cut it adrift and develop more effectively as a social species.

Studies show that thinking of ourselves in terms of groups automatically leads to a kind of irrational group favoritism, which ends up dividing society, instead of bringing us together.
