One of the key principles of Ayurvedic Massage is the belief that every individual has a unique energetic constitution or dosha. It recognises three primary doshas: Vata (air and ether), Pitta (fire and water), and Kapha (earth and water). By determining an individual's dosha, Ayurvedic therapists tailor the massage to meet specific needs and imbalances.
1) Marma Massage is based on the Ayurvedic concept of marma points, which are vital energy points located throughout the body. These points are believed to be the intersections of subtle energy channels (nadis) and are associated with different organs, systems, and emotions. By stimulating these points, marma massage aims to balance the flow of prana (life force energy) and promote overall health and well-being.
2) Pinda Swedha involves the application of warm herbal poultices to the body using gentle, rhythmic movements. These poultices are typically filled with a blend of nourishing herbs, aromatic spices, and medicated oils, specifically selected based on the individual's needs.
Here at Woodhall Well Being, we are combining these two treatments for a 2hr Marma Massage with the Pinda Swedha - for the ultimate treatment of the physical body, clearing of the mind and balancing the spirit.
As part of our launch of the new Ayurvedic treatments we are now offering, an exclusive £10 discount will be given to the above treatment!!
