April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month.

When diagnosed early, nine in ten people survive bowel cancer. That’s why this , Bowel Cancer UK are asking everyone to help them raise awareness of the disease, so everyone has the best chance of an early diagnosis.

We’re receiving a high number of enquiries about MenB (meningococcal disease) following recent cases.

The MenB vaccine is part of the routine UK childhood immunisation schedule and is offered at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, and 1 year of age.

If your child has missed a dose, this can be given up until their 2nd birthday. After this age, the vaccine is not routinely offered, and we are unable to provide it on request.

There has been no change to national guidance.

If your child is eligible and has missed a dose, please contact the practice to arrange an appointment.
