Our kidneys work hard for you every single day: filtering waste, balancing fluids, and keeping everything in check.

Keeping them healthy:
💧 Stay hydrated
🥗 Eat a balanced diet
🏃 Keep active
🩺 Attend your health checks

Kidney disease often has no early symptoms, so routine blood pressure checks and blood tests really matter.

If you have diabetes, high blood pressure, or a family history of kidney problems, regular reviews are especially important.

Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month

Bloating that won’t go away?
Feeling full quickly?
Pelvic pain?
Needing to wee more often?

If these symptoms are new, persistent, and lasting 2–3 weeks, don’t ignore them.

Most of the time it’s nothing serious — but it’s always worth checking.

📞 Contact the practice if you’re concerned.

In February we had 128 patients who did not attend their GP appointment at the practice.
Every time a GP appointment is DNA’d (Did Not Attend), it means:
⏰ Wasted clinical time
🧑‍⚕️ Fewer appointments for patients who need urgent care
📋 Longer waiting times for everyone
💷 Increased pressure on NHS resources

If you can’t attend your appointment, please cancel as early as possible. That slot can then be offered to another patient who may really need it.

✔️ Cancel by phone, text, app, or online
✔️ Rebook when it suits you
✔️ Help your GP practice help more people

A quick cancellation makes a big difference.
Let’s work together to keep appointments available for everyone. 💙

This month, we’re raising awareness of brain tumors and the symptoms to look out for.

Symptoms can vary, but may include:
• Persistent or worsening headaches
• Seizures (fits)
• Changes in vision or speech
• Weakness on one side of the body
• Personality or behaviour changes

These symptoms are often caused by something less serious — but if they are new, persistent, or worsening, it’s important to get medical advice.

If you’re worried about any symptoms, please contact the practice. We’re here to help.

Early assessment matters. 💛
