After receiving my MSc in Physiotherapy I am pleased to say that I am now working full time as an MSK Physiotherapist at Physiocare Body Management in Twyford as well as continuing my commitments as a first team Physiotherapist at Rams RFC. I therefore will no longer be doing any private or home visits. If you would like to book in with me for a sports massage or Physiotherapy appointment please contact Physiocare https://www.physiocare.co.uk/ where I am supported by a phenomenal team of advanced practitioners 😊

For the time being I am also still running small mixed ability general Pilates at Earley St Peter’s hall with my amazing instructors Helen and Sam.

Such mixed emotions for my final day at the Acute Stroke Ward at the RBH. I’ve learned so much and had the opportunity to work in such an incredible team with so many wonderful patients with such varying needs. However, I’m now off to do my MSK outpatients placement in 2 weeks so super excited for that one!

As I am now on placement (currently at RBH) I have cut down on some teaching hours meaning I am now available for a few sports therapy/1:1 Pilates/massage clients again. Due to my placement I will have a few slots in the evenings and the odd weekends so only taking on a few appointments. If you’d like to book in then get in touch :)

CHRISTMAS HAMPER DONATIONS

We did SO well with this last year so I’m hoping we can do even better for 2022! I have spoken to my contact over at Wokingham in need and she is over the moon that we’ve offered to help again this year with wonderful home made hampers for elderly residents identified as vulnerable and without family.

I will be collecting all through November and December so if you would like to donate a hamper it would make a huge difference to some of our community who have suffered so much over these last few years.

If you would like to donate a hamper, make it personalised from you but here are a few ideas of what you can include. Please also put a removable label on the top to show if it is for a male or female.
For any perishable goods please ensure they are in date and have a long use by date into 2023. Also please ensure the hamper is fully enclosed in cellophane or with a lid to ensure things don’t fall out. Some ideas for your hamper but feel free to be creative!

- A Christmas pudding
- mince pies
- socks
- A photo frame
- chocolates, biscuits and confectionary
- beauty/hampering products
- stationary (incl little note cards)
- puzzles and games
- Crafts and drawings etc from you or your Children
- a Christmas card

Thank you for being someone’s Christmas Angel xx

The Reformer 🤩

Upon the outbreak of WW1 Joseph Pilates was interned by the British as a German enemy alien. He used this time to start developing a new approach to exercise and body conditioning- Contrology, now known as Pilates! During his internment, Joseph also worked as a nurse which led him to experiment with attaching springs to hospital beds so that patients could start toning their muscles even while they were still bed bound! Such were the origins of the first Pilates Machines now known as Pilates Reformers!
