Fabulous news for our junior community

Volunteers needed.
The Tank Museum in Bovington, supported by Purbeck PCN and Purbeck Integrated Neighbourhood Team are setting up a wonderful Junior Parkrun. The Tank Museum have kindly agreed to host the weekly run on their land. The run is for 4-14 year olds, but we need volunteers to help support this.

Volunteers would be needed on Sunday mornings, approximately 8.40am-9.40am. We are aiming to start the parkrun in mid July and it will run every Sunday morning.
No experience necessary.
Full training will be given.
Volunteers are not required to run.
Lots of cheering and high fiving runners is required.
You would need to register for Parkrun which is free.
No commitment to attend every week. Ideally volunteering at least once a month would be great.

**IMPORTANT NOTICE**
Dear Patients, we are having to make changes to our dispensary service & opening times due to 3 out of our 5 dispensers being on maternity leave. Whilst it is fabulous news for our 3 dispensers the bad news is we have not been able to find anyone to cover the maternity leave despite advertising. Dispensers need a qualification and intense training to do their job so it is not a case of anyone can do it. We understand this is not ideal and have not made the decision lightly but we have to do this to ensure your medications are dispensed safely and to protect the remaining 2 dispensers so they can continue to run it with just the 2 of them. Please see below for full details. Please be kind and remember this is a temporary change until we have a full capacity of staff. Thank you.

We now receive between 6-10 triage requests per hour throughout the whole day, so sometimes 100 triage queries in a single day. Each one has to be read, and a course of action decided upon. Many are dealt with directly if safe to do so, some are seen rapidly if indicated and some are routine matters which may take longer to be seen. The demand outweighs the capacity but we are working hard to provide appointments for those that need them. Thank you for your understanding and patience at these busy times 🙏🧡
