Premier day!

Myself & Amanda Lowson have somehow managed to create a 50 min show with 48 7yr olds called ‘The Institute of Lost Things’.
The show dives into objects which have been lost in time but then deepens into things we personally don’t want to lose about ourselves.
I’m so grateful for all the team at Dundee Rep Theatre and everyone who has supported the projects. It’s been 3 months in the making, and it’s now its final stage. Im absolutely knackered but filled with so much joy seeing these little ones build in their confidence and take on such a huge professional show.

AUDITION NOTICE:

We are searching for some dancers to work with us for our next part of our research phase in Nottingham. Ideally looking for Dancers based in / or local to nottingham, as an Accommodation fee could not be provided. There is a small travel allowance given.
*Dancers out with this local demographic will still be considered if applying but please take into consideration there is NO accommodation fee*

Fee is: £700 for 4 Full working days + 2 halves days

Dates: 18th + 19th July - Then 22nd till 25th July 2024

*Keen to have Visually impaired artists apply due to the nature of this part of the research, however all will be considered*

It’s finally here! Our short film titled ‘The Lost Boys’

I made this in the summer with 25, 8yr old boys. We titled the work the lost boys, not only because of pirates relationship, but this particular set of young people are from extremely poverished areas. I set the precedent that it’s good to dream and think that anything is possible. We explored about the concept of dreaming and making it come true.
These young boys are from where I grew up as a child, it’s the school I also went to growing up. Hopefully one day, they’ll remember this, that doesn’t matter where they are from or what they are born into, it’s not their fate and that if they really want it, they can make those daydreams of what they want to be a reality.

I’d love it if everyone could have a little watch and give some feedback about the film.
I’ll be going back into the school in January and I’d love to tell them some of the comments people have made.

So last night we officially opened ‘A Christmas Carol’ at Dundee Rep Theatre - this was a first associate director/choreographer position and I cannot express how deeply grateful I am to have been given this opportunity. For years I have wanted to direct a play and this is the first stage to making that dream come true.
Thank you to the cast who are just the best, my bosses for making it happen, Andrew Panton (director) for trusting me, Joan Cleville (choreographer) and all the SM/Tech team.

Our first reviews came out and been a few 5*s!
Here now to the rest of the run and to hopefully more opportunities within directing!

Come see the show if around dundee over this Xmas period. I promise you it’s totally worth seeing!

Beyond excited to share that today I start a new role as Associate Director & Choreographer for Dundee Rep Theatre production of Christmas Carol!
Unbelievably grateful for this opportunity! I’ve always wanted to direct a play and this is the first big step into that happening!

Day 1 of Scottish Dance Theatre residency done. Lots of interesting discoveries for myself and Sophie Duncan for North X North ~ day 2, here we go!
Show opens this Friday and Saturday as part of ‘Sputnik’ program, we are the pre show with the exhibition space open from 6:30-7:30 and after show space also. The experiences last around 12 min total if want to listen to each headphone experience
