As we come to the end of our Steady Beginnings series, we’ll be exploring balance in its most realistic form.

Balance isn’t something we “achieve” and then keep.
It’s something we lose… and find… and lose again.

In this final week, we’ll focus on returning — noticing when we wobble, pause, or step out, and gently finding our way back. In the body, that might look like moving in and out of simple balance poses with patience and curiosity. In life, it might mean recognising when things feel off and offering ourselves a little more care.

By week three of January, the initial “fresh start” energy often fades — and that’s completely normal.

This week in class we’re continuing our Steady Beginnings theme, with a deeper focus on balance, not as something to perfect, but something to practice.

In the body, balance is rarely still. There are wobbles, tiny adjustments, moments of tipping and returning. In life, it’s much the same — especially at this time of year when routines are still settling and energy can feel uneven.

Our practice this week will include:
• slow, supported balance poses
• steady transitions rather than long holds
• time to pause, notice, and reset

Week 2 of our January theme 'Steady Beginnings' continues with a focus on balance and support.

This week we’re exploring balance - noticing how we steady ourselves, when we wobble, and how we gently find our way back again. In the body, that might look like simple, supported balance poses. In life, it might mean learning how to pace ourselves after a busy December.

You don’t need perfect balance to practise yoga. You just need the willingness to keep returning.

January doesn’t need a big reset.
Sometimes it just needs a steady beginning.

This week in class we’re easing back into movement gently - longer warm-ups, slower transitions, and time to really arrive in the body. No rush, no pushing, no expectation to be anywhere other than where you are.

We’ll be exploring balance, too. Not the kind that’s about standing perfectly still without wobbling - but the kind that notices when we tip, and patiently finds the way back again. In the body, and in everyday life.

As our 'Light Within' series draws to a close, we pause to honour all the quiet ways we’ve brightened our inner world this month.

The light we’ve tended on the mat isn’t something we leave behind — it’s something we carry into our days, our homes, our words.

Thank you for practising, reflecting, and glowing with me this November.

🌕 Final class of the month this Wednesday – join me for a gentle closing practice & meditation.

As the nights draw in and our energy dips, it’s easy to feel a little dimmed.

This week’s practice is about grounding and recharging your inner light — connecting back to the steady warmth that lives beneath the surface.

Through slow, intentional movement and moments of deep rest, we’ll root into the body and rebuild gentle energy from the inside out.

When we’re grounded, our light burns steadier.

In yoga philosophy, Tapas is our inner flame — the steady energy that keeps us moving, even when our motivation flickers.

This week we are exploring how gentle movement and consistent practice help us stay connected to that warmth.

You don’t have to burn brightly; just tend the flame.

As the days grow shorter, yoga invites us to look inward for warmth and brightness.

This November, our theme is “Light Within” — a reminder that even when the world outside dims, your own inner glow remains.

My classes this month are designed to help you reconnect with that steady warmth, through movement, breath and stillness.

- Gentle heart openers
- Calming breathwork
- Guided meditation to end

Join me and tend to your own quiet light.

✨ Bring a little Hygge into your yoga practice ✨

Hygge (the Danish art of coziness) is all about creating comfort, warmth, and presence. Here are a few simple ways to weave it into your time on the mat:

Set the mood 🕯️ – Soft lighting, candles, or fairy lights create a warm atmosphere.

Layer up 🧣 – Wear cozy socks, bring a blanket, or wrap up in your favourite jumper for relaxation.

Slow it down 🌿 – Choose gentle, grounding poses and take your time with them.

Use props for comfort 🪷 – Cushions, blankets, or blocks help your body fully relax.

Sip something warm afterwards ☕ – A cup of tea or hot chocolate makes the practice feel complete.

🍂 Hygge in yoga is about more than movement – it’s about feeling safe, cared for, and at ease.

How do you bring coziness into your practice? 💛
