Join us tomorrow at Bassett Breasties

A gentle reminder that our free breastfeeding support drop-in is happening tomorrow (Wednesday) and you’re warmly welcome to come along.

🕐 1–3pm
📍 The Croft, St Bartholomew & All Saints Church, Royal Wootton Bassett

Bassett Breasties is a free, friendly and supportive space led by Sophia, a trained ABM Peer Supporter, for anyone who is:
🤱 Breastfeeding
🍼 Expressing or combi-feeding
🤰 Pregnant and preparing to feed
💛 Supporting someone on their feeding journey

You don’t need to be having any challenges to join us — many parents simply come for a chat, to feed their baby in a welcoming space, and connect with others locally.

Feel free to drop in anytime between 1–3pm, stay for as little or as long as you like. Older siblings are very welcome too.

✨ We’re back this Wednesday! ✨

After a short pause, Bassett Breasties returns this Wednesday 18th March and we’d love to see you there.

Join us for our free breastfeeding support drop-in from 1–3pm at The Croft, St Bartholomew & All Saints Church, Royal Wootton Bassett.

The group is led by Sophia, a trained ABM Peer Supporter, and offers a warm, relaxed space for anyone who is:
🤱 Breastfeeding
🍼 Expressing or combi-feeding
🤰 Pregnant and planning to breastfeed
💛 Supporting someone on their feeding journey

You don’t need to be having difficulties to come along — many parents simply join us for a friendly chat, a safe place to feed, and supportive company from others who understand.

Feel free to pop in anytime between 1–3pm, bring a friend, and older siblings are always welcome too.

♻️ Turn your empty ink cartridges into support for local families ♻️

Did you know you can help support Bassett Breasties simply by recycling your used printer ink cartridges?

We’ve partnered with Recycle4Charity, which means your empty cartridges can be turned into donations to help cover the running costs of our free breastfeeding support drop-in here in Royal Wootton Bassett.

The funds raised help with things like:
• Venue hire for the group
• Insurance
• Continued training
• Information leaflets and resources for families

How you can help:

🤱 Bring them along to the group and I can send them off
📦 Got a larger number? Get in touch and we can arrange a local drop-off or collection

Every cartridge recycled helps keep Bassett Breasties free and available for local families who need support.

Feeding support for the week ahead.

Local in-person breastfeeding support available, from 9th to 15th March 2026:

Monday 9th - West Swindon Family Hub at Toothill Church, with breastfeeding support from 10am until 11:30am and syupport with choosing and using slings, with Swindon and Devizes Sling Library, from 11:30am until 1pm

Monday 9th - Wiltshire Breastfeeding Support, at the Family Hub, in Chippenham, from 10am until 11:30am

Monday 9th - Wiltshire Breastfeeding Support, at the Family Hub, in Trowbridge, from 1:30pm until 2:30pm

Tuesday 10th - Birthworks Independent Midwife, at Church Cottage in Marlborough, from 10am until 11:30am

Wednesday 11th - Breastmates, at Community Centre at Christ Church Swindon, from 12pm until 2pm

Wednesday 11th - Devizes, Melksham and Calne Breastfeeding Support, at the Lansdowne Strand, in Calne, from 1pm until 2:30pm

Thursday 12th - Breastmates, in Abbey Meads, from 9:15am until 11:15am

Friday 13th - IBCLC Elena Rossi's Open House, in West Swindon, from 10am until 1pm (to book your place text Elena on 07733609660)

Friday 13th - Devizes, Melksham and Calne Breastfeeding Support, at Optimum Corner, in Devizes, from 1pm until 2:30pm

Other than Elena's Open House, all groups are run as free drop-ins, with no need to book.

If you need support, please do try to arrive at drop-ins at least half an hour before the end of the session, so that you get adequate time with a volunteer.

This International Women’s Day feels a little extra special. 🥰

I’m incredibly honoured to have been named one of Swindon & Wiltshire’s Most Inspiring Women 2026 by The Business Exchange — and even more surreal to be on the cover alongside so many amazing women.

One of the things I love most about this community is seeing women support each other through their feeding journeys, the tough days, and the proud moments. That kind of encouragement and shared experience is powerful.

I’ve been lucky to be surrounded by strong women my whole life — and now I get the privilege of raising one too. My 3-year-old daughter already has plenty of strength and sass (just like her mum 🤭).

Here’s to strong women — may we know them, raise them, and be them.

🤱Group Cancelled This Week 🤱

I’m so sorry to share that this week’s Bassett Breasties drop-in (Wednesday 4th March) is cancelled due to a family funeral.

We will be back at The Croft at our next scheduled session on Weds 18th March and I’ll share a reminder closer to the time.

As a quick update our drop in will be cancelled this week due to a family funeral but we will be back on the 18th March as usual.

✨ Join us tomorrow at Bassett Breasties ✨

Just a little reminder that we’re back tomorrow afternoon for our free breastfeeding support drop-in — and we’d love to see you there.

Half term is in full swing, so please don’t worry about older children — they are absolutely welcome. The Croft has a play area with toys, so you can feed, chat, ask questions or simply enjoy a hot drink while little ones stay busy nearby.

Whether you’re breastfeeding, expressing, combi-feeding, pregnant, or supporting someone who is — this is a relaxed, understanding space for you. You don’t need to be having difficulties to come along. Some parents come for reassurance, some for practical support, and some just for company.
