✨ Volunteer Opportunity – Community Builder ✨

We’re looking for a new Community Builder to join the volunteer team at NCT Worcester & Droitwich 💚

This role is all about supporting our brilliant volunteer teams and helping parents feel connected in our local area.

What the role involves:

Supporting and keeping in touch with volunteer teams via WhatsApp groups and occasional in-person catch-ups

Acting as the first point of response for emails, helping signpost queries to the right activity or volunteer

Helping volunteers feel supported and confident in running their activities

There’s no obligation for a fixed amount of time each month, but as a guide the role usually takes around 2–3 hours per month and can be done almost entirely remotely, making it very flexible around family life and work.

If you enjoy community, communication, and supporting others, this could be a lovely fit. And if you’d like to help expand branch activities or events, there’s absolutely opportunity to do that too — but only if and when it suits you.

We know news about formula milk recalls can feel worrying 💚 Nestlé has recalled specific batches of some SMA formula milk products due to possible contamination. If this affects you, here’s what you need to know:

💚 Check the batch number and stop using any affected products
💚 If your baby becomes unwell (for example vomiting or tummy pain), contact your GP or NHS 111
💚 It’s safe to switch to a different brand of first infant formula milk - they're all nutritionally equivalent
💚 If your baby uses a specialist formula milk, speak to a health professional

Looking for a gentle way to get out of the house this January?
Our NCT walks are a lovely chance to get some fresh air, meet other parents, and stretch your legs.

Whether you’re brand new, a regular face, pregnant, with a baby in the buggy, or chasing a toddler in wellies — you are very welcome 💛

…and that’s a wrap on 2025! ✨

10 parents, 8 babies and 2 children enjoyed our Christmas jumper Walk & Talk this morning!

As it’s our last event of the year, we want to take a moment to reflect on what has been another positive and meaningful year for branch.

None of this would be possible without the dedication of our volunteers, who give their time, energy and care to run events, support families and build strong local connections—thank you for everything you do. We are also incredibly grateful to the parents in our community for your continued support, enthusiasm and trust in NCT.

As the year draws to an end, we wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. Whether this is your first Christmas as a new family or one of many festive seasons shared together, we hope it is filled with warmth, joy and special moments.

Thank you for being part of our NCT community, and we look forward to what 2026 will bring together 🎉
