Fun fact: Elvanse/Vyvanse or Lisdexamphetamine is listed as a controlled substance, it is a prodrug of its more commonly known counterpart dextroamphetamine (infamously known on the street as speeeeed 🏃‍♂️) lisdexamphetamine is a slow release prodrug, meaning it is inactive until metabolized by red blood cells where it turns into dextroamphetamine, this can make it gentler on brain and longer acting.

Whilst it can have very strong stimulating effects on a non-neurodivergent brain, for someone with ADHD, these type of stimulants often have a calming effect, helping to improve focus, mood and promoting feelings of calmness and clarity.

Not all ADHD people may get on with stimulants and factors like hormonal fluctuations can affect their efficacy, this is why it is always important to take medication under the guidance of a licensed therapist or medial doctor due to potentially dangerous side effects.

The subject of addiction issues are often thrown around by anti med communities, (due to the drugs history of being abused) but the fact many adhd people often forget to even take their meds (I personally have to have a reminder in my phone 😂) it remains a controversial topic, yet still a great system of support for many ADHD people.

Fun fact:
To get married in a church in a parish you have zero legal connection to, you can apply for something called temporary residency. Basically, you have to live in the parish for 8 consecutive days so you can legally become a resident and give notice of marriage there in order to get a wedding licence.

Anyway, so I’m like legally Cornish now chaps 🐚

In my 8 days of living in Newquay I achieved the following: 
• broke my phone
• ended up waist-deep in the sea fully clothed
• turned 30-something
• finally ticked off a million wedding tasks
• had some wonderful visitors
• confirmed I could happily live in Newquay one day 
• had a pre-wedding shoot with the lovely .bycarys
…and most importantly, .franklin and I finally got our marriage licence, which means we can now actually get married. Lol.
