In December 2017 and Jason Marshall returned to being self-employed, trading as Keryn Social Care. A Social Work company on Facebook? Well, why not? This is how people communicate about things that are important to them, and getting assistance, advice and support is important. Unfortunately, the way in which local authorities provide social work and social care is limited by their budgets, workloa
ds and a reducing workforce. I am dedicated to working in public services, but wish to provide a private service to fill the gaps that I see opening up:
- a care home finder, check and review service.
- long term support from a single Social Worker through times of change.
- advice to make you own arrangements such as Lasting Powers of Attorney.
- phone based advice.
- a professional visiting service for your loved ones when in hospital and care homes, to report back to you. I also offer training in teh Mental Capacity Act 2005 and I am able to advise in detail on the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS). I have practiced as a Best Interests Assessor (BIA) for the DoLS since 2009 and offer support and supervision to less experienced BIAs. I am based in Worcester and work in surrounding counties, but I can advise anyone, anywhere, with any problem. I am a Registered Social Worker (SW30200) and my services are appropriately insured.
