I tried. Truly. I gave these things my time, my effort, and several near-death experiences.
To be more serious (as I obviously always am), here’s the moral: you can know something is great and still realise it’s just not your thing. And that’s fine - there are other ways to reach the same goal that don’t make you question your will to live.😂

I know this might feel a bit controversial, and maybe not the kind of photos a “health professional” is expected to share. It’s not perfect, is it?
I’ve been told more times than I can count that, as a nutritionist, I probably eat perfectly. And yes - most of the time I do eat well. I exercise most days. And honestly, seeing me with a drink is a rare sight.

But we all have our moments. Nobody is perfect, and nobody expects you to be either. Do what you can 80% of the time. You will lose motivation sometimes. You will eat ice cream or sip a cocktail on a beach. And guess what?

It’s fine. Really.
Consistency matters far more than perfection.
I’m tired of the perfectionism in the wellness world.
Make it fun. Build sustainable habits you actually enjoy.
That’s what keeps you healthy in the long run.

P.S. My new post will be about how to survive Christmas parties without destroying your liver 😂

🌱Finding Your Way Back to Yourself ⛰️

Lately I’ve reflected on something I see every day as a nutritionist and personal trainer and through the conversations I have at work.

We spend so much time looking for quick fixes, the “magic pill,” or the perfect routine someone else tells us we should follow. But real health, the kind that actually makes you feel grounded, energised, and like yourself starts in much simpler places.
In your environment, your choices, your habits, and most of all… your intuition.

One of my favourite reminders from our Beautiful Mind seminar was:
“When a flower doesn’t bloom, you fix the environment it grows in, not the flower.”

You are that flower.
You don’t need to be “fixed.”
You need space, understanding, and the right environment to grow in your own way.

As someone who spends half her life in nature I’ve learned that tuning into that inner compass matters more than forcing yourself into someone else’s version of “healthy.”

For me, my biggest wellness habit isn’t a supplement, a workout, or a meal plan.
It’s listening to what I’m drawn to.
Your intuition, your heart is the best coach you will ever have.

Of course, supplements have a place. I’ve learned in the last few years that they can be incredible tools making huge difference in people’s health. But they’re not meant to replace the small, consistent things that truly change your life.
A little more sunlight.
A mindful walk.
A pause before saying yes.
A routine that actually matches who you are.

Everyone has their own pace and their own path.

So here’s your reminder today:
You don’t need to follow the trends.
You don’t need to be anyone else’s version of “healthy.”

Just start with what feels true to you.

That’s where real health transformation begins.
That’s where you find peace.
And that’s where your inner strength is.

What’s left on your bucket list?
Not quite nutrition-related or mountain leader stuff, but it’s so important to follow your dreams.
Hobbies, passions, these things can’t be substituted, and they truly make you happy.

It simply feels good to tick off another thing from your bucket list.

Scuba diving?
It was always somewhere at the back of my mind.
Yes, the mountains will always have my heart but it felt so good to discover a different world.

Dreams are made to come true.
Carpe diem. Always. ❤️

Huge congratulations to Kateryna for completing her very first hike in the UK!
Your determination and positive energy were amazing all the way through. We conquered five peaks together - what an incredible day!
Apologies for completely ruining the photo… I just couldn’t stop laughing 😂🙈

Wow… what a journey! 🌄 Becoming a qualified Mountain Leader has been one of the toughest and possibly most meaningful challenges.

To those close to me, you’ve seen the stress, the self-doubt, and the long weeks of preparation. Honestly, I think I was the only one who didn’t believe I could do it.

Huge thank you to my incredible friends, supportive colleagues, my husband, and my family for your endless patience, encouragement, and belief in me.

I also had the privilege of meeting some truly amazing people during the assessment. I couldn’t have asked for a better group or better weather! And of course, a massive thanks to and for running the assessment and your guidance.

I can’t even put into words how it feels to finally say… I’m a Mountain Leader!🥹

Delicious & easy to make blueberry coconut cookies 🫐🥥
Coconut is my latest obsession (I’ve been adding coconut powder to everything lately 🙈) and these cookies turned out soooo good.

I baked mine in the Ninja at 160°C for 20 minutes (bake mode), but you can absolutely use a regular oven too - just bake at 175°C until golden/ brown at the edges.

They’re light, delicate, and bursting with blueberries. They were gone in a single day 😅

I enjoyed mine with extra fresh blueberries, natural yoghurt, and a sprinkle of FOS for that little prebiotic boost 💙

📝 Recipe

Ingredients (makes ~12 small cookies):

1 cup ground almonds (almond flour)

2–3 Tbsp desiccated coconut

2 Tbsp coconut powder mix (optional, for richness)

1 egg

2 Tbsp melted coconut oil

3 Tbsp coconut sugar (or 4 Tbsp if you like sweeter)

2 Tbsp milk (dairy or plant-based)

3/4 cup fresh blueberries

Pinch of salt

Optional: ½ tsp vanilla or cinnamon

Method:

1. Mix egg, melted coconut oil, milk, and vanilla (if using).

2. Mix in coconut sugar until mostly dissolved.

3. Add ground almonds, desiccated coconut, coconut powder, baking powder, and salt.

4. Gently add blueberries.

5. Scoop onto parchment, flatten slightly.

6. Bake in Ninja 160°C for 20 min OR oven 175°C.

7. Let cool 10 min.

True freedom is knowing you can find your own path. 🧭 Both in the hills and in life. Recently my world has been all about finding paths - literally😂 and a little metaphorically.

Balancing full-time work, clients, training, and prepping for my ML assessment has been really tough recently.

Reflections from this weekend’s night nav:

1️⃣ After 9 hours of walking and then a 3-hour drive home, an electric car is actually your best friend - the fear of running out of charge will keep you awake better than coffee. ⚡️😂

2️⃣ Always remember to text your husband that you’re alive… before he nearly calls the police. 🚨🙈

Every journey has its lessons - mine just happen to be random ones 😂

Feeling overwhelmed with conflicting advice out there?
Do you get confused by contradictory information from different “professionals” - all having a different opinion?

That’s because one size does not fit all.
