At Soul Sanctuary we teach a range of classes and all teachers are trained in Baptiste style yoga, specialising in Vinyasa Flow. This type of yoga is perfect for al needs from injury recovery to total relaxation, from strength, stamina and fitness to finding time for you to focus and replenish energy. The best thing about yoga is that everyone can enjoy it and it doesn’t matter if you are an absolute beginner, yogi master or somewhere in between (regardless of your age or ability). Seriously though —
You wouldn’t be expected to already know how to play piano before going to your first piano lesson…

So where did we get the idea that you have to be flexible to go to yoga?

Yoga isn’t about performance. It’s about presence.
It’s about listening to your body, not forcing it.
And we promise — no one is judging you (except maybe yourself, and we're working on that too 😉).

In a world that constantly asks you to do, perform, achieve...
You deserve a space where you can just be, and genuinely feel that you are enough as you are.

Where no one cares what you look like,
Or what poses you can do.

But everyone deeply cares about how you feel.

Come anyway.

Grounding in yoga connects your body and mind to the present moment, creating a sense of stability and focus. This connection builds strength, balance, and even peace—on and off the mat.

Here’s how grounding works in your practice:
✨ Body: Feel your feet anchor into the earth, supporting your posture and alignment.

✨ Mind: Engage your breath and heart to foster clarity and mindfulness.
Try grounding with these poses:
🗻 Mountain Pose (Tadasana): Press evenly through all corners of your feet. Stand tall, feel the energy rise from the ground through your spine.

⚔ Warrior Pose (Virabhadrasana): Root through your front heel and back foot. Find strength from your grounded base.

🔥 Chair Pose (Utkatasana): Sink into the pose as your feet energise the floor. Stay steady and present.

Emma will take you around the gardens with a wonderful group of like-minded people to chat, get to know each other and take in the gorgeous gardens before sitting for a joint meditation.
