Join us for our first ever event, a talk from Emergency Medicine Consultant Dr Alisha Shaikh all about her incredible career in Emergency Medicine with opportunities to ask questions and gain insights into the specialty.

On Wednesday 18th June at 2pm, join us and Dr Shaikh on Teams to learn more about Emergency Medicine from an experienced Emergency Medicine Consultant.

Dr. Ayisha Shaikh is a full-time Emergency Medicine Consultant at Oxford University Hospitals, a major trauma centre, where she also serves as the lead for ACP, ENP, and PA students.

She completed her medical degree at a military-based university and brings a wealth of diverse clinical experience, having worked across three continents — Russia, India, and the UK — in public, private, and military healthcare settings, ranging from District General Hospitals to major trauma centres.

After completing her training in India, Dr. Shaikh became a Consultant and led a Medical Emergency (Critical Response) Team. She later moved to the UK, joined Oxford University Hospitals, completed her CESR, and was appointed as a Consultant.

Her areas of special interest include toxicology, resuscitation, and trauma. Outside of clinical work, she is passionate about learning languages and travelling. A true polyglot, Dr. Shaikh is fluent in seven languages, including Russian.
