I don't like dentists. No, that's not true! I like my dentist, because I trust him and know he is good at what he does. But the process of going to the dentist scares me. I know it will hurt...

The same goes for my regular sports massage. My sports massage therapist is a friend and a top lady, and really good at what she does, but as I drive to my monthly appointment, I can feel my heart rate rising as the fear sets in. It's going to hurt!

I had a client several years ago who came to see me because she wanted to improve her core and strength, so as she got older she could continue cycling and swimming in the sea, which she loved. Her heart rate went up from 80 to 110 as soon as she saw me outside the gym for her first appointment!! 🤣

Often, changes we need to make to improve our health, or fitness, or mental well-being are frightening. It's hard! It takes us out of our comfort zone. But staying in your comfort zone keeps you where you are! It's only by doing the hard stuff, the stuff that might hurt or scare you that you can improve.

So, choose someone to help you who knows what they are talking about. An expert. Someone with a lot of experience. Someone recommended to you, and who you can trust.

Then do it! 💪
