. Do you continue to get overwhelmed with to do lists ?
Procrastinate !
Feelings of failure and anxiety when nothing gets ticked off !

And it then all becomes so overwhelming and an unhelpful cycle begins …

Our brains can be trained to think differently and the feeling of finishing off tasks can be very rewarding.
Here’s how …

⭐️ Start really simple . As long as our brains can see that we have tasks ticked off it gives us satisfaction. Doesn’t matter what these tasks are . Making your bed , having a coffee , getting petrol…..
These tasks are everyday things we do and are pretty achievable. Your brain will start to retrain itself at this point , slowly and steadily. You will start to feel a sense of achievement

⭐️ I would keep these small but important steps on my list , for a while longer as I start to structure my lists a bit more in depth. Here’s how and why ….
At the beginning of the week write down everything that needs to be done , structure these in categories to most important to least . Write you list in advance for the week ahead keeping in mind your coffee times to yourself in the morning , grocery shopping , school pickup what ever it may be . Try not to do more than one big task a day , and drop in a couple of mid level not so important tasks .
So what if you don’t get that big task done ! Look at your list and see all the other tasks ticked off this can still give you a sense of accomplishment . We are still retraining our brains . Slowly we won’t feel so overwhelmed by everything that needs doing .

⭐️ These are super easy strategies to follow if overwhelm really gets on top of you and stops you in your tracks . Following these simple steps we can
start a healthy pattern off finishing off the tasks given to us

⭐️Most importantly be kind to yourself, give gratitude to yourself , tomorrow is another day …

🌲🌳🌿DENDROPHILE🌿🌳🌲

Meaning “The forest is a state of mind “ a Dendrophile will feel changed and converted by spending time in the forest .

The last few months I’ve been ploughing on (as we do ) but it’s really caught up with me the last few weeks and anxiety started to show it’s ugly little head and my soul just felt so disconnected from me .
So I had an unexpected free morning this morning so I went to my favourite place that I hadn’t been to a while to have a good stomp and take the dog for a walk .
I had just taken a few steps into these wondrous surroundings and suddenly had an energy surround me to just slow down . I was grounding ❤️ The relief of this feeling to be able to breath and slow down enough to take in my surroundings was overwhelming tears ran down my face , letting go of negative energy that had accumulated , the deeper I went into these beautiful woods .
This didn’t end up being a stomp to walk the dog or to close my exercise rings on my watch , it was the most beautiful meditation and grounding session I so desperately needed .
I’m now sat here writing this for you with the Siberian fir essential oil filling my space and grounding me further . The smell takes me back to the trees I love. Taking this precious little bit of time out this morning has been a reminder, to breath and slow down

ESSENTIAL OILS AND WHY THEY WORK 🌿🌿🌿

cells are the building blocks of our body . The body is made up of 100,000 billion cells .

Why am I talking about cells and essential oils ?

Cells are semi permeable, which means they will only allow some molecules to pass through while blocking the passage of other molecules. As therapeutic grade essential oils are carbon based they work on a cellular level and will pass through the cell membrane working from within, they go way beyond skin deep ❤️

Smell :
Our sense of smell is so important to us as it can detect dangers , pheromones and plays a roll in taste . Smell can bring around memories from our childhood and bring on emotions of joy happiness and calm .

How do essential oils work ? :

Essential oil molecules bind to the receptors within the nasal cavity, transmitting a signal through the olfactory bulb where the sensory input will be carried to interact with the brains response for smell identification, memory and emotion . This is where the limbic system plays a part where emotional life is largely housed and supports functions including emotions , behaviour and long-term memory ❤️

Our body is a whole and our systems work together side by side ❤️
