What an incredible time we’ve had at Naidex 2026! 🌟

We’ve spent the last few days immersed in the Neuro Rehab section, and it has been an absolute highlight for our team. From ground-breaking technology to insightful seminars, the energy here has been inspiring.

It was wonderful meeting so many passionate individuals and hearing their stories and we’ve made some fantastic new professional links that we can’t wait to develop.

The range of stands and the quality of the talks gave us so much to think about for the future of care.

A huge thank you to the organizers and everyone who stopped by to chat with us. We’re heading home feeling inspired and ready to put everything we’ve learned into practice!

🌸Community care vacancies 🌸

We're currently recruiting in the Workington and Carlisle areas for community based carers to support clients within their homes and enable them to access the community.

We work with both children and adults, covering a wide range of needs from low risk clients to complex clinical and mental health support. Most visits run in block hours giving you ample time to spend with your clients so nobody feels rushed.

We have set shift patterns running on a 2-weekly rolling rota. They cover 3 days one week and 4 days the next, with specific set days of working that can be discussed during the screening process.

You do not need to have prior care experience to apply for these roles, but candidates must a possess a genuine desire to care for others and be able to demonstrate a compassionate and caring nature. 💝

We offer award-winning nurse-led training to all staff ensuring you are fully ready and confident in supporting our clients. We also offer enhanced rates of pay above the NMW. Pay rates range from £13.40-£15.25ph and there's a 30p per mile mileage allowance.

Currently we are only considering applications from drivers with a UK licence and access to their own vehicles. Non drivers may apply to have their details added to our talent pool so we can contact you when a suitable non-driver vacancy comes available.

Please also be aware that weekend working is a requirement for this role working on a weekend-on, weekend-off basis. Full flexibility for shifts is also desirable as our rotas run between the hours 6.45am-11pm 7 days a week. At this time we cannot offer work between school hours such as 9-3.

🌻Package work opportunities 🌻

Are you looking for a new challenge? Want to work in a meaningful role supporting someone to stay in their own home? Do you have relevant care experience in a professional setting?

Then come and join our complex care team at Alcedo Care! We are looking for staff to work on a 2-1 package in the Egremont area working with a lady in her own home to support with MND, tracheostomy, ventilation, PEG, long term catheter and more.

Our nurses will provide fully comprehensive training to all staff and be on hand for regular check-ins and ongoing support. The shifts run from 9am-9pm 7 days a week with staff working on a rolling rota split across 4 days one week and 3 days the next week - this also includes working on an alternate weekend basis. ✅

Requirements for this role involve:

A minimum of 6 months care experience either in home care or a care home.
A valid UK drivers licence and access to your own car.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Flexibility to cover full 12 hours shifts which may include days, waking nights and sleep shifts.
Live locally to the west Cumbria area and be able to reliably commute to the package location.

We offer enhanced pay rates for all complex packages ranging from £14.75-£15.25 per hour. 💰
