We are very lucky to work with a variety of people here at 365. It’s a place for every individual to maximise their own training potential and to work hard towards goals personal to them.
You will see a lot of sports conditioning related post on our socials as well as some amazing body transformation post, but what you don’t always see is some of the continuous hard work our clients put in each week.
In Jan 2024 I had a weekly 1-2-1 slot available and Mick aged 76 reached out to quickly take the opportunity to get signed up with me. In this time i was aware Mick was recently diagnosed with advanced prostate Cancer. However, This has only spurred and energised him on to train with me and fight it each and every day as he knows that his body is in for one hell of a fight.
You are a legend mate, where many simply can’t be bothered to train and where many would have just given up and sank, you have given it the middle finger🖕and brought everything you have to the table so for that I simply applaud you 🫶
In the mist of regular hospital visits and his check ins with me Mick hits work each and every morning, he cycles on an average of 50-60 miles each Sunday with HDCC club, he hits his gravel bike another 30-40 miles each week and spends time walking with his wife for 4-6 miles twice a week.
In recent months I also had another PT session come available due to a client relocating and Mick jumped at the chance to bump his sessions up to 2 a week. In his sessions we work on mobility, strength and conditioning. His sessions are tailored to him and i support and adapt everything we need for him to maximise his time at 365.
His enthusiasm, effort and dedication each and every session is inspiring. Never moans and never puts his head down. He looks only forward to what he can achieve both in the short and long term. In his own words ‘I will be the fittest and best client you have’ and I absolutely love that attitude and connection that he has to his health and fitness.
This post was consented by Mick so I could share a story that may help relate to people. A scenario where many may feel like giving up but don’t. Mick has great people around him and lots of energy that will help him daily to drive him forward. I feel honoured to be able to work as a Trainer and help a real genuine guy through this horrible disease.
Let’s go 🫶💪❤️
