My WP bio.
I’m a qualified holistic therapist specialising in supporting people through cancer journeys and other life challenges. My therapeutic toolkit includes Reiki, therapeutic massage, stone therapy and trauma‑informed approaches. I am currently upskilling in the latest breathwork techniques. Outside of work I have a busy family life — my two sons and three grandchildren definitely keep me on my toes.
What’s important to me…
Creating safe, compassionate spaces where people feel truly heard and supported. I believe in treating the whole person — recognising that cancer affects not just the body, but emotional and spiritual wellbeing too. Every person’s journey is unique, and meeting people exactly where they are with patience and understanding is at the heart of everything I do.
What I’m most looking forward to working for Weston Park Cancer Charity…
Continuing to witness those powerful moments when someone finds relief, peace, or renewed strength during incredibly difficult times. Whether it’s helping someone feel more comfortable with treatment they once feared, providing respite from chronic pain, or creating space to process complex emotions, these connections remind me why this work matters so deeply.
Ways of working…
I take a patient‑led, personalised approach to every session. This means really listening to what each person needs — both what they say and what their body communicates — and tailoring treatments accordingly. Some people need gentle, grounding support; others need help releasing deep‑seated anxiety or trauma. I adapt my therapeutic approach to honour each person’s comfort level, preferences, and healing journey.
I also recognise that cancer affects entire families, not just individuals. Understanding family dynamics — the support systems, tensions, and unspoken worries — helps me provide more holistic care. Sometimes the person in front of me carries not just their own fear, but their family’s anxiety too. Acknowledging this broader context allows me to offer more meaningful support. Building trust and maintaining a calm, non‑judgmental presence allows the therapeutic relationship to become a genuine source of support and healing.
