When induction of labour is becoming more and more pushed I highly recommend reading these books so you can make an informed decision.
Induction of labour is something I cover in my Hypnobirthing course and it as become so important when 40-50% of women are being induced. Know the facts, Know the risks so you can make the best choice for you and your baby ๐
I'm delighted to have received Henci Goer's new book on induction of labour in the post this week, and here it is, making friends with my books on the same topic (in a heatwave ๐ฅต๐).
First, can we please admire how beautifully colour co-ordinated they all are? ๐ It's as if they are MEANT to be friends! ๐
Sometimes, people ask me why I promote books written on the same topics that I write about.
Aren't they my competition? ๐ฑ
Well, that's not how I see it.
I donโt believe in competition when it comes to sharing good, thoughtful, evidence-informed information.
Especially on important topics like induction of labour.
I was lucky enough to have a sneaky peek at Henci's book before it was published, so I can confirm that it's a brilliant resource.
Like all of Henci's work, it is meticulously researched, beautifully explained, and written to help women and families make the decisions that are right for them.
Thereโs room for many voices. .rachel.reed has a fab book on induction too. And if I become aware of other good, evidence-based books on this or related topics, I'll post about those as well!
I want people to have access to good information, from different perspectives, from people who live and work in different parts of the world.
And perhaps just as importantly: women need to support each other ๐
