The weather changing, but still nice :). I was struck with a nasty cold/cough last week but it didn't last long thankfully. However, I do feel tired and have a need to rest more. I am giving in to that as much I can. Because I know how important it is to not go that downward spiral of ignoring the symptoms, the feeling, and ending up having pushed through too much, allowing fatigue to creep in so that I would HAVE to stop at one point, and it would take even longer to recover.
There is a fine line between letting ourselves push through a little bit to get stuff done, and resting/ leaving things as they are for a few days to then pick up on it more refreshed and inspired. In these situations, ask yourself how important it really is to work on a matter; is it for your benefit or that of others or both .. and what's the worst that could happen if it wasn't done right now? Also, is it fully your responsibility or can you reach out for some support/find cover while you take a break?
The most important thing, really, is your health & wellbeing. We get satisfaction in doing things for others, helping and doing the job we do, and so this too is part of our health & wellbeing. However, if we forget to do things and help ourselves in the process, creating a balance between doing & being (rest & recover), we will end up running on empty. That doesn't benefit anyone.
I work with heart-centred women (mainly) who struggle with burnout, pain & dissociation, because they feel so uncomfortable about putting self-care & self-love in place.
I help them to reconnect their mind-body-soul in ways that feel authentic, safe and comfortable so they can finally create the ease, joy & understanding in their lives that they are here to experience.
I offer Reflexology, Reiki & Acupressure Massage techniques - often combined with mentoring in 2 hour sessions. I hold art for wellbeing workshops, am a wellbeing / spiritual mentor, am a Chakradance Facilitator and a Fatigue Recovery Specialist with The Chrysalis Effect - M.E, CFS, Fibromyalgia, Thyroid and Adrenals (in the support of ME/CFS & Fibromyalgia + post-viral fatigue recovery). The techniques & approaches used help us to first and foremost calm the nervous system, balance hormones & improve nutritional intake/absorption; essential for our immune system to work optimally, lowering stress and reducing brainfog among other things, enhancing the body's self-healing abilities and creating the capacity to bring in positive change & feel-good activities!
