Clandon Wood Gardening Club

Following up from the feedback from a number of visitors, clients and regular volunteers we would like to introduce the Clandon Wood Gardening Club.

Meeting every month the club will consist entirely of volunteers who will lend their green fingers to helping out around the various planting areas, hanging baskets and amenity areas. The team of grounds staff are responsible for the maintenance of the meadows, ponds, woodlands and hedgerows as well as burial duties and as such are limited in how much time they can dedicate to the more managed areas in and around the office.

We hope that, with your help, volunteers will not only welcome visitors but also be a font of knowledge for those enquiring about meadow planting and grave care for their loved ones whilst embodying the principles of natural burial.

We whole heartily encourage anyone to join, no prior horticultural knowledge required, just bags of enthusiasm and a willingness to be an integral part of the Clandon Wood family and its future.

I wanted to take this moment to thank you for all your help throughout all the funeral arrangements. From when I first called you to when we met you put my mind at ease and gave me loads of information and support and made a very sad and stressful time much less so. You had some great ideas especially the Land Rover Defender hearse which was a stroke of genius and everyone was thrilled and surprised to see it coming up the road, so many people have said just how fitting it was for my husband and that he would have loved it. The photo slideshow and music was beautifully put together and again many friends have commented on the music bringing back wonderful memories of him dancing around to his 80’s tunes! His tribute page has nearly £15,000 in donations which is just superb and it makes donating very easy. It’s also lovely to be able to look at the tributes, comments and photos that have been submitted, long may that continue. We managed to send A off in a style and a way that I think he would be proud of and that are all happy with. I would happily recommend you to anyone looking for a professional, friendly and efficient funeral directors. If you need me to write a testimonial then please don’t hesitate to ask. We were very pleased with the services we received from Town and Country funeral directors. From the moment we contacted them it seemed that nothing was to much trouble. They were calm and efficient and took time to listen to our every need and request. Nothing could have prepared us for the loss of my Father however, Adrian and Rosalyn along with their whole team made it bearable when it came to the arrangements. They were kind, efficient and professional from beginning to end, we highly recommend them all.
