The care sector you see today did not exist 30 years ago.

To understand where Caremark is today, it helps to see how home care has evolved over the last 40 years.

From State-run residential homes in the early 1980s, to the birth of domiciliary care in 1993, and the introduction of professional standards in 2003, each milestone pushed the care sector to evolve.

Caremark was founded in 2005 against that backdrop of change, and our growth since then reflects the strength and scale built into this sector.

Two decades on, our network continues to grow because care is not only essential, but also future facing. That is why Caremark is proud to be called the mark of excellent care.

Today is World Mental Health Day

We say we are the mark of excellent care, and that means recognising that good care is about more than physical health. Mental well-being matters just as much for our customers, our care teams, our support centre staff, and our Franchise Owners.

Running a care business is about creating an environment where people feel supported, valued, and connected.

We encourage everyone to take 10 every day. Ten minutes to step away, breathe, move, or check in with yourself or someone else. Let this post be a reminder.

Sometimes the smallest conversation, the smallest pause, or the smallest act of kindness can make the biggest difference.

This recognition is a result of the commitment shown every day by our leadership team, who work to support over 140 Caremark offices and ensure that we remain the mark of excellent care.

The awards final takes place on 20 November, and we are delighted to be standing alongside so many respected names in the sector.

Caremark at The NEC for the National Franchise Exhibition 2025

A quick rundown from a brilliant few days:

💙David Glover (CEO) delivered two strong sessions on finding the right franchisor for you. His insights were well received and sparked plenty of thoughtful questions.

💙Our Franchise Manager, Matthew, was in his element speaking with prospective Franchise Owners and introducing them to Caremark, explaining how we live up to being the mark of excellent care, and why we are ranked 6th in the Elite Franchise Top 100.
