🌞 A Perfect Day at Parkside Lodge! 🌭🎶

Today we enjoyed a fantastic BBQ in the sunshine with our wonderful residents! The weather was on our side, the food was delicious (huge thanks to our talented chefs and their brilliant assistants!), and we were treated to an amazing performance by the lovely singer Sharon – she truly lit up the afternoon with her voice! 🎤💃

It was also a bittersweet day as we said goodbye to our much-loved Activity Coordinator, Zoe. 💐 Zoe has brought so much joy, energy, and creativity to Parkside, and she will be deeply missed by both staff and residents. It was a perfect send-off surrounded by smiles, music, and great food – everything Zoe brought into our days.

Karen gave a wonderful speech to say our goodbyes from Parkside Lodge. Thank you, Zoe, for everything – Parkside family wishes you all the very best in your next chapter! ❤️

As I say goodbye after five incredible years at Parkside Lodge, I just want to say a heartfelt thank you to all the amazing residents, families, and staff who have made this such a special place to work.

From all the pub lunches and seaside trips, the events & parties, music, and laughter all the fun we have had as such great friends and the best family there is, it’s been an absolute joy to create memories with you all. I’ve loved every minute and feel truly lucky to have been part of such a warm and wonderful community.

I’ll miss you all so much and carry the Parkside spirit with me always! 💐💛

What a fantastic day we’ve had at Parkside Lodge!

Today we headed out for a brilliant pub visit where we enjoyed great food, laughter, and lovely company! This was special for Kathleen on her Birthday and for Zoe our Activity-Coordinator on her last Pub Trip with us🍻

We also celebrated our wonderful Kathleen’s birthday — she was absolutely glowing all day and loved her delicious lunch at the pub! Happy Birthday, Kathleen!

Back at Parkside this afternoon, the celebrations continued with yummy birthday cake, smiles, and plenty of joy!

A huge thank you to everyone who made today so memorable — it’s days like this that remind us how special our Parkside family is!

Today we had our final visit from Stanley from Pets as Therapy. It’s been a wonderful few years enjoying Stanley’s presence at Parkside, and we wish Stanley and Paul all the best for the future. We’ll miss Stanley very much here at Parkside!🐕‍🦺

We have enjoyed some games & watching TV and Mr bean this Morning🎳

Today at Parkside, we got creative and hands-on with a fantastic jewellery-making activity!

We had so much fun designing and crafting their own beautiful pieces — from colourful beads to shiny charms, the creativity was flowing!

This activity was not only a wonderful way to express ourselves, but also a great sensory experience, helping to engage fine motor skills and spark imagination.

We loved seeing the smiles, concentration, and pride as each masterpiece came to life!

A big well done to everyone who took part — your creations are truly one-of-a-kind!

This morning at Parkside we have enjoyed manicures & a games morning, The winners this morning were Christa & Freddie! Who scored the highest in Quoits and Skittles!

We have spent the remainder of the morning watching the VE Day celebration on the TV, singing along & listening to stories of the war. We will be enjoying a nice meal together today😊

Had an enjoyable lunch at the Brewhouse and Kitchen Worthing! Staff were wonderful as always, had a great time together! Looking forward to out next visit next week! 🍺🍻

What a gorgeous morning it’s been!
We’ve been soaking up the sunshine and making the most of this beautiful weather in the garden! Lunch outdoors, chilling in the sun, and enjoying some yummy ice lollies too — pure bliss!

On Friday at Parkside we enjoyed Victor and Sue who come to perform to us! We all had such a great time singing along, dancing all the staff were involved too! We had such a blast! 💥 🎶

This morning at Parkside Lodge has been full of fun and creativity!
We’ve been busy finger painting — using brushes and all our fingers to create some truly beautiful artwork!🎨
Our dining room turned into a game zone with some friendly (and competitive!) rounds of Jenga — lots of laughter and concentration at the table!
And to top it all off, we had a lovely visit from the hairdresser ✂️✨ Some of us got our hair styled and we’re feeling fabulous and looking absolutely beautiful!

It’s been a joyful and colorful start to the day here at Parkside Lodge!

Happy Easter to everyone!
This afternoon, we enjoyed a lovely buffet lunch together 🥗🍰, followed by some Easter eggs 🐣🍫 and a fun, relaxing time.

We’ve also included some photos from Eileen’s delightful afternoon tea 🫖🍰, beautifully arranged by our amazing carer, Karen ❤️. Eileen had a wonderful birthday celebration surrounded by friends, family, and the caring team at Parkside 🎉🎈

We’re having a lovely day at Parkside today, celebrating Eileen’s Birthday & a little bit of Easter!🥳🎂

Friday we enjoyed an Easter egg hunt. A massive thank you to family of Parkside who helped with the eggs & accessories! We had a great time looking for eggs & bunnies together even the chef and staff were getting involved!

Tomorrow we will be enjoying a buffet, our chocolate eggs & other activities for Easter Monday!🍫
