🚌🌸 We recently enjoyed our third bus trip to Findon Garden Centre! Residents loved browsing the shoes, clothes, beautiful plants and amazing gifts – and of course we couldn’t leave without a well-deserved cuppa and slice of cake at the café ☕🍰

For sisters Doreen and Olive, it was their very first bus trip with us – and to say they loved it is an understatement! 💙

🍷🧀 We recently hosted a wonderful Cheese and Wine Evening for our residents, families and friends – and it was a marvellous success!

Our Head Chef Simon and his team created incredible platters featuring nine different cheeses, crackers, chutneys, pickles and fresh bread. Guests enjoyed a choice of wine, prosecco and non-alcoholic options, including sparkling wine, prosecco and a homemade punch.

With the beautiful weather, people gathered both in the lounge and outside in the garden, sharing laughter and conversation. A raffle with 10 prizes added to the fun, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive – everyone said how much they enjoyed the evening and are already looking forward to our next event in October. 💙

What a time it’s been at Caer Gwent! ✨

We kicked things off with residents sharing holiday memories, with one gentleman even telling us about his working life in the United States. 🌎

The sun has been shining, with sizzling BBQ delights, and toe-tapping entertainment from the brilliant Peter & Mick (with everything from guitar and piano to accordion and violin!) 🎶

Our residents enjoyed a visit from Tony’s ice cream van with the classic 99 being a popular choice (plus Lotus Biscoff!)🍦

And the fun doesn’t stop here… We’re looking forward to a Tea & Cake Afternoon, followed by a Cheese & Wine Evening for residents, families and friends. 🍰

🎉 Happy 100th Birthday, Patrick! 🎉

We recently celebrated an incredible milestone at Caer Gwent Nursing Care Home as Patrick, a long-time Worthing resident, turned 100! 🎂 Surrounded by family, friends and former colleagues from the fire service and Royal Navy, Patrick’s special day was filled with laughter, memories and even a surprise visit from a fire engine 🚒.

From serving in the Arctic convoys during WWII to running local businesses and creating films in the 70s, Patrick has lived a truly remarkable life.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special – and a huge thank you to Patrick’s daughter, Lynda, who organised a heartfelt celebration in the Caer Gwent piano lounge. 💙

Here’s to a century of stories, achievements and family – congratulations, Patrick! 🥳
