I recently went for a walk with a friend who's re-found yoga. We talked about the shift of mind state yoga puts us in for that short time...there really is something transformative about it. Our minds are so constantly busy, yoga almost forces us to slow down, and just listen, reacquaint ourselves with our body.

I'll admit I've been so busy, with work and a very active toddler in tow, my practice has taken a back seat, so this conversation served as a prompt to get back into it...and today I took some slow steps. It felt good 🥰💚

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas, but the pressure for parents at this time can be unreal.

The most precious memories are the time we have together, not really the gifts (can anyone remember what they received last year?? Or the years previous 😅).

Put the scissors down and take 15 mins to yourself to reset your body and mind. Go on, take this as your cue, you need it!

💚My gosh - the wonders of vitamin D 🌞. Baby loves the feel of the grass...I love it the feel under my feet. It is fantastic for proprioception, balance and grounding. Outdoor yoga is a lovely way to elevate your yoga practice.

Don't get me wrong - I love my kids with my life. BUT I am frazzled after the Easter holidays. Momma needs a nap!! After a stretch first of course...😏

Yoga will always help clear my mind of the 'frazzles' & focus the mind on 'how is my body feeling / how is my breath feeling?'.

Yoga provides 'grounding' & lifts my mood always 💚. Sometimes that grounding is what our body and mind is calling out for...🧘‍♀️. Take that rest if you can mums!

💚Good to be BACK!

During my pregnancy I suffered from pelvic girdle pain; although I'm an advocate for movement during pregnancy, my yoga practice was affected. I found myself in a bit of a funk mood wise.

💚BUT I found my body was desperate for movement. Even a 15 minute practice (older kids running amoc, baby safely in bouncer) gives me that chance to clear my mind & my body is so thankful for that movement.

💚Your practice doesn't need to be a full hour, little steps incorporated into your day honestly make a difference. Maybe take your practice outside if you can?

💚Your apple a day is to take that 15 minutes and nourish that body 🍎.

💚I personally need to eat before I exercise (30 mins before). My go to currently is a big bowl of porridge with soya milk / chia seeds / peanut butter and banana/blueberries. As a breastfeeding momma I need all the fuel I can get currently 🤪. Still need that coffee hit though...

Happy Easter everyone 🐣!!

Spring sunshine has put a new bounce to my step 🌞

I would love to get back to some alfresco yoga to gently wake up the body to what feels like the longest hibernation period ever 😅 (new baby in the mix also).

Yoga & sun - I have missed you so! Who's in?
