Our new Wellbeing Coordinator Debbie has organised this visit from IMPS- Invicta Military Vehicle Preservation Society . They will be rolling up to Avon Manor Dementia Care Home - Worthing on Saturday at 10:30 for our Veterans and residents . All family and friends of Avon Manor past and present are welcome to visit . Tea ,Coffee ,cakes and a chat provided

Great news, a new date has been set for our sponsored Walk .We need lots of help ,so please join us on Wednesday October 1st at 10 am to raise money for Alzheimer's Research UK . .We are looking forward to seeing our families and friends ,past and present ...
Today we enjoyed some musical exercise in the small lounge , Keeping up Appearances in the Large lounge , after lunch quiz blitz and keeping up with our Poppies . We have so many Poppy projects on the go and it's lovely sitting with the residents and chatting as we all get busy painting ,tying and decorating Poppies .

The cutest little guinea pigs arrived yesterday to visit our residents and staff . Making residents smile as they cuddled them . It's amazing to see how a cute little bundle of fur can promote conversation ,laughter and improve mood . Thank you Debbie for our lovely visit . Our afternoon we spent cleaning, painting and decorating Poppies , Quiz Blitz before supper and a very Happy Birthday to our Jim 🎈🎂🎈

For those of you who haven't yet had the chance don't forget to collect your sponsor form ahead of Saturday's Walk and Roll to raise as much money as we can for Alzheimer's Research UK . Thank you everyone we are getting so excited and getting everything prepared from the wheelchairs to the t-shirts and we are hoping this will be our biggest and best yet .
