A different approach to “counselling”.

Some people can talk and talk about previous trauma but it doesn’t change anything.

That might be because, you’ve locked away those traumatic feelings so deep in order to protect yourself, that you can no longer connect to them. But they’re still there and now and again, they appear and take control of your thoughts and even control how you react and the decisions you make in life.

S-A-M (Script Ash Method) is not like talking therapy. S-A-M is a neurological technique that gets you connecting to those emotions again - only when you connect to them can you conquer them.

S-A-M teaches you self-help techniques that you can carry on using for the rest of your life.

COVID19 - November Lockdown.
Now we have clearer information from the Government, we are pleased announce that the clinic will be open throughout the November lockdown.

The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) (No. 4) Regulations 2020 (updated on 3 November), states the following businesses are permitted to stay open:

Dental services, opticians, audiology services, chiropody, chiropractors, osteopaths and other medical or health services, including services relating to mental health."

Lymphatic drainage is a part of lymphoedema treatment. It is a type of specialised massage that encourages lymph fluid to drain away from the swollen area.

Day 3 of a week in Multi Layer Compression (or multi layer bandaging/MLB). We saw a reduction after one day of bandaging.

This was the first time the patient had had short stretch MLB, so I started her off with a slightly lighter more tolerable pressure and increased it slightly every day as she became more used to the feeling of the bandages and compression on her arm. (NB I had bandages this patient in a self cohesive bandage approx. 7 months before, however the patient developed an allergic reaction to the self cohesive badage and we had to stop the treatment).

The patient happily tolerated the MLB and we got really good results!
