This week, some of our team had the privilege of attending the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism with and what a powerful and impactful session it was.

It was fantastic to see multiple Home Instead offices come together, united in our commitment to improving understanding, communication, and care for those living with learning disabilities and autism. Training like this is so important in helping us deliver truly person-centred care and make a real difference in our communities.

A huge thank you to the incredible trainers, Hugo (Learning Disabilities Expert) and Jona (Autism Expert), for delivering such an engaging and insightful session.

It was a pleasure to spend the morning connecting with so many wonderful people and local businesses, both familiar faces and new connections. Events like this are a great reminder of how supportive and collaborative our local community is.

Our Care Manager Amy joined Shannon, Marketing Coordinator, and we both agreed that Merriman Grange is a truly beautiful care home. The environment felt incredibly relaxed, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed, a wonderful space for residents, families, and visitors alike.

Thank you to the team at Merriman Grange Care Home for hosting such a lovely event. We look forward to staying connected with everyone we met this morning.

For two years we have had visits from Home instead to my mother in law at home. Throughout this time the service has been excellent. Evie is our main carer, arriving once or twice a week with a burst of energy and a caring, gentle approach. She has ensured my mother in law has company, exercise, tea and laughter while my husband and I have a much needed break. Evie feels part of our family and even our dog Otto loves her.
We have also had visits from Cecelia, Cassie & Julie and they have all made the effort to get to know my mother in law. They focus on her 100% and she has thoroughly enjoyed their company and visits.
Behind the scenes Alana has been a constant empathic communicator and checks in on us regularly to ensure we are getting everything we need from Home instead and other connected services.
If you want a regular caring service that goes above and beyond then I thoroughly recommend Home instead.

Another busy day at our Worthing office yesterday! 👏

Several of our wonderful Care Professionals completed Stoma Care training, building their knowledge and practical skills so they feel confident supporting clients who have these needs.

The session included a mix of classroom learning and hands-on practice – with the help of our lovely volunteer Betty, our life-like training doll, who is always on hand to help bring the training to life! 😊
