Over the past couple of weeks we have enjoyed a wonderful mix of activities. Lots of smiles from the bingo winners 🏆
We were delighted to welcome Cliff a visiting dog, bringing lots of joy and cuddles for everyone 🐶
Our regular favourites too including painting, dominoes, brain games, puzzles and floor and fairground games which kept our minds active and spirits high 🎾
Residents helped pick our tasty homegrown tomatoes and strawberries 🍅
We have been treated to some fantastic entertainment, Alex returning with his singing and guitar playing filling the room with music. 🎸
We were thrilled to welcome Emily a beautiful dancer who gave us a brand new experience this month 💃
Many happy moments, laughter and connection. An uplifting time for all! 😁

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Summer Fair on Friday! 🎉 We were blessed with lots of sunshine, smiles and laughter 🌞 Food was delicious with a lovely bbq and our raffle brought plenty of fun and laughter too! 🍖 Special thanks to all the staff and relatives who helped make the day so special and to DJ Keith for keeping the best vibes going with the 70s and 80s tunes 🎵 A truly wonderful day to remember! 🧡

A busy and joyful few days getting ready for the Summer Fair on Friday, decorating our jars filling them with sweets and putting pretty bows on raffle prizes! 🎀
We also celebrated world friendship day with a wonderful performance from our talented singer and guitarist Alex 🎸
Our puzzles and painting group have been as creative as ever and we enjoyed some energentic exercises including seated sports and a mini golf tournament where there were many proud winners! 🏌️‍♂️
Thanks again for all the community spirit from the relatives 🧡

July has been a wonderful month here at Sunhill, filled with music, laughter and sunshine! 🌞 Lovely entertainment filling the home with music, arts and crafts which was a big hit along with many creative moments including stone painting and building our own miniture forests! Big thankyou to all the relatives that helped🌲 Movement has been a big part of the month too with regular exercise groups and games like balloon tennis 🏓 Relaxing in the afternoon with building, baking and Bingo. Lots of residents Birthdays we have celebrated this Month as well! 🎂

The last couple of weeks we have been enjoying lots of Wimbledon themed activities 🎾 Fitness trainer Sam got us started with some light Wimbledon warm up exercises and balloon games 🎈We have been perfecting our own Table Tennis skills too 🏓 We had a great tennis rally with Rise (Seated Sports) - very competitive to win the trophy 🏆 Followed by lots of Strawberries & Cream for afters 🍓 Many floor games including; snakes and ladders and cones and rings with lots of prizes 🎳 Not forgetting our usual bingo and weekly baking club too! 🎂 We also have our ongoing Wimbledon painting competition and we've been working together to build Famous Buildings from around the world out of lego such as the Eiffel Tower and Taj Mahal!🗼

Today we enjoyed the Carousel Theatre Production of Summer Holidays, with a few competitions and lots of Summer songs with a bit of magic & a Punch & Judy show too! 🎭
Lovely Lynda our Chiropodist has provided lots of relaxing time in the new sensory room 🦶
Lots of games, quiz's and prizes on Father's Day, our usual bingo, board and floor games!🃏
As well, we enjoyed Angela's mexican themed sensory singing session 🇲🇽 Our weekly cookery club and a sunny stop in the garden for an iced tea and drawing session 🌞

Busy couple of weeks here! We've enjoyed Zoe with her songs, sensory exercises with feathers and pom poms 🎉 Lots of prizes and trophies won at our regular bingo game followed by a Netball tournament 🏐 We celebrated two lovely residents Birthdays 🍰 Had fun doing our cake baking club and seated summer sports games too! 🎳 Lastly, we've started preparing for D-Day with some great paintings! 🎨

Lots of excitement in the last week, another lovely bbq by our Chef Dennis for VE day celebrations 🇬🇧 Residents and staff enjoying DJ Keiths war time music and dressing up in their 1940s inspired clothes 👗We had our regular session of Saturday bingo and finished the week with Rise coming in with their seated sports derby. Lots of prizes and trophies one for the fantastic steeple chase round! 🏆

Lots of Arts and Crafts on St Georges Day, followed by relatives coming in to help with decorating bags and sponge painting. We also did our bank holiday bingo with lots of winners! Alex came to sing us some jazz hits for international jazz day. We've also started our VE day preparations with residents making lovely posters!
