It is always good to finish the day with some yin yoga. Give some space to yourself both in body and mind, targeting one of the areas that gets tens through the day: via sitting, driving, cycling or any activity that brings the knees towards the chest.

Don't forget to complement all your stretching and relaxation work with some strengthening as well though!

This is a gentle class that will take you through yoga and self-massage to help tension headaches.

You can practice this class on a chair too.

If you are currently experiencing a headache give this a try, but remember: if it gets worse or is too painful, stop and rest. If the headache has been going on for a while and you are not sure that it is, in fact, a tension headache, make sure to see your doctor for a proper diagnosis.

Seasonal affective disorder (SAD), sometimes called "winter depression" is a type of low mood that some people experience during certain seasons. A significant amount of people is affected by it, and it can have significant impact on daily activities.

With this in mind, I have just published a new class on YouTube to give ourselves some time to feel and explore sad times. This class is thought to feel like a big hug, a place of respite you can give yourself when things feel hard.

When we think of breathing we think of the diaphragm. However, there are other muscles that either assist our breathing or, in some cases, become overused and take on more work than they should. ๐ŸŒฌ

This video allows us to bring some awareness to the intercostal muscles (between the ribs), the scalenes (at the sides of the neck), the pectoralis major (at the chest) and partly the re**us abdominis (at the belly).

Since things have reopened, many of us have gone back to travelling and I thought I might film a video specific to the tensions we build during long journeys. It doesn't have to be a plane journey, it could be a long car drive or you might have travelled by train. This is for any situation that keeps you seated in a small space, for a long time. ๐Ÿ’บ
