🌿 Ever heard of 'toe yoga'? If you're struggling with plantar fasciitis, this might be worth trying! It's a simple exercise that can actually help strengthen the muscles in your feet, potentially alleviating some of the discomfort you’re feeling.

Toe yoga involves lifting and spreading your toes while keeping your heel and the ball of your foot firmly on the ground. This movement helps improve your foot’s flexibility and can relieve the tension that contributes to plantar fasciitis.

Many people assume rest is the best or only remedy, but gentle exercises like this can aid recovery by enhancing muscle function and support.

Remember, small efforts can make a big difference! Give toe yoga a try and see if it provides some relief. 🦶 https://co-ki.info/49RGhc2 (https://co-ki.info/49RGhc2)

We are open :)

For your reassurance, these are the changes which have been made, in order that I am complying with Covid-19 infection control regulations to keep you and myself safe:

The waiting area is no longer used in either my home clinic or at the Physiotherapy Centre. I will collect you from your car.

Myself and all staff are wearing PPE (personal protective equipment) to protect ourselves and our patients. I have also installed a protective clear screen between myself and the patient I am treating.

Between each patient, time has been allowed to carry out disinfection of all surfaces in the clinic room.

Please make sure wherever you go, that measures like these have been put in place.
It is impossible to socially distance while treating feet so these changes are needed to keep us all safe.

Stay well everyone and hope to see you all soon!

Following the Prime Minister's announcement of lockdown at 8.30pm on 23/3/20, I am having to shut my clinic except for those patients with an absolute medical need to see me. There are many exemptions, but predominantly this means those with moderate and high risk diabetic feet, and those who have foot ulcers and/or acute foot infections.

I wish you all well and encourage you to follow Government regulations & guidelines to keep yourselves and others safe.

I would like to reassure all patients that I am stringently following NHS advice regarding the spread of coronavirus (nCovid-19).

My clinics are open, as usual.

Please do not attend if you have recently visited a high risk area (area 1 on the NHS 111 website - www.111.nhs.uk) or have been in direct contact with someone diagnosed with nCovid-19.

Government advice is to self isolate for seven days if you have a new continuous cough and/or a high fever (>37.8c). If a member of your household is showing symptoms of nCovid-19 you should ALL self isolate for fourteen days. You should call NHS 111 if your symptoms are worsening but please do not visit your GP or other healthcare environment unless you are told to do so.

I am very happy to move your appointment to a later date if the above applies to you.

If you are over 70 or a high-risk patient you should socially distance yourself, avoid group gatherings and keep your distance from others when you go out.

This does not mean you cannot access healthcare. If you are a high-risk patient I am happy to offer you an appointment with gaps between yourself and the patients before and after so you minimise the risk of cross infection.

If you are fit and well and show no signs of nCovid-19 I am happy for you to attend your appointment as normal.

Answer questions about your main symptom on 111.nhs.uk and get NHS medical help near you.
