Because we value our care staff so highly, we made sure to mark the day with gratitude and love. In a sneaky surprise twist, the ladies crafted personalised keyrings in one of their activity classes we all kept it very hush hush! 🧡 Wear it Orange Day by the CWC🧡(Celebrating the UKs Carers.

Today, we celebrated the amazing dedication and compassion of our incredible care team for Care Workers Charity Day — and what a special day it was!

Everyone wore orange to show their support, and we laid out a tempting array of sweet treats to bring smiles all round 🍰🍬

One of the highlights was our "thoughts Tree" , decorated with heartfelt messages from our ladies and gents Sharing just how much the carers at St Mary’s mean to them. It was truly moving.

Today, our ladies had an absolute blast playing balloon tennis — no rackets needed, just hands! 🙌The room was full of laughter, energy, and good vibes as we moved to the rhythm of classic 50s hits! 💃🕺

Not only was it a ton of fun, but this simple activity brought so many benefits:
✔️ Gentle physical movement
✔️ Hand-eye coordination
✔️ Social interaction

🛍️ Mobile Clothes Shop Visit.

We had a fabulous afternoon yesturday at St Mary’s as a mobile clothes shop rolled up to offer our ladies and gents a chance to browse and buy from a beautiful array of clothing right on their doorstep!

From cozy cardigans to stylish shirts, there was something for everyone — and judging by the smiles (and shopping bags!) it’s safe to say it was a big hit!

Why we love days like this:
✅ Encourages independence and personal choice
✅ Boosts confidence and self-expression
✅ Brings the joy of shopping without the stress of travel
✅ Creates a fun and social atmosphere for all

At our Summer Fayre, our lovely resident Inge treated herself to a beautiful crocheted teddy bear – and proudly named him Wonka! 💜 The joy on her face as she held her new friend was simply heartwarming. It’s clear that Wonka has already brought her so much comfort and happiness. 🌸

Our wonderful Senior/Kitchen Assistant, Ben, took a little time out of his busy day to share a hilarious video with our lovely resident, Trish. The video (yes, you read that right! 🐄👩‍🍳 … a cow baking) had us all in stitches – we simply couldn’t stop laughing! 🤭😂

It’s these special little moments, when our team step away from their usual roles just to make someone smile, that truly mean the most. They brighten the day, bring us together, and remind us what life here is all about. 🌟 Person Centred Software
