How to Dry Brush for Immune-Supportive Wellness
Dry brushing is a simple ritual that can help stimulate lymphatic flow, support circulation, and encourage your body’s natural detox processes- making it a lovely addition to an immune-supportive routine. Here’s how to do it effectively:
1. Start with a natural bristle brush and ensure your skin is completely dry. Avoid brushing over broken, inflamed, or sensitive areas.
2. Begin at the feet and brush upwards towards the heart in long, gentle strokes to encourage lymphatic movement.
3. Continue up the legs, maintaining light to medium pressure- enough to stimulate the skin without irritation.
4. Brush from the hands up towards the shoulders, always directing strokes towards the centre of the body.
5. Use soft, circular motions on the abdomen to help support lymph flow around the core.
6. Rinse off in the shower to remove exfoliated skin and finish with a hydrating, nourishing moisturiser to soothe and protect the skin.
