🏊‍♂️ Swimming as usual… then suddenly — a severe calf cramp that made walking difficult.

This client is a swimmer, training 18–24 hours per week.

He experienced:
❗ Calf cramps during swimming
❗ Two days in a row
❗ So severe that over the weekend, he could barely walk

Once the pain slightly improved,
he drove to see us.

🔍 This was NOT just a simple calf cramp.

After assessment,
the issue was not only in the calf.

It was related to:
✔ Severe tension in the back
✔ Tight hips
✔ Fascial restriction throughout the posterior chain

➡️ The whole system was pulling together
leading to recurring cramps during swimming.

✨ Our treatment approach

We did NOT start at the calf.

We started by releasing the system:

✔ Heat to relax deep muscle tension
✔ Upper back → shoulders → neck → lower back
✔ Focus work on QL and hips
✔ Dynamic & static cupping to release fascia
✔ Joint mobilisation

Then gradually moved to the calf:

✔ Ball release (as direct pressure was too painful)
✔ Gentle shaking + soft tissue work
✔ Allowing the body to “release” instead of forcing it

💡 Results

✔ Muscles began to release
✔ Movement improved
✔ Cramp intensity reduced

(This type of condition may require ongoing care for full recovery)
