It’s been nearly three weeks since we welcomed Nellie into the fam. Feeling exhausted but in good spirits and leaning into the confidence and trust that has come second time around 🧡.

Feeling incredibly grateful for my birth experience and the support we had from . I felt empowered, strong and connected to myself throughout the whole labour experience.

We were at home for most of it, my contractions starting as we all snuggled in bed in the morning together then going for a little local walk, setting up the space and the pool before things ramped up and until the early hours of the next day. Eventually after many hours of pushing and feeling like she wasn’t coming down, I made the call to transfer to hospital where Nellie was born via caesarean. Later learning there was a few factors making things a bit tougher for us 😅.

So proud of myself for remaining conscious, in my power and in tune with my intuition this time around. It’s made this postpartum period feel much lighter and clearer this time 🧡. We’re all slowly settling into life as a family of four and the new normal 🥰.

In that liminal space between pregnant and birthing, not knowing when things will happen. Going to bed each night wondering if it could be the time, I’ll wake up in labour or not. It’s an interesting place to be, on the edge of something new and unknown.

Growing our little family and wondering how that will shape us all, what the ‘new normal’ will be. Kind of familiar but very different. All the mixed feels of excitement and nerves, hoping I’ll feel more confident this time around and embrace the slower, more chaotic days whilst also holding space for A. And at the same time holding so much gratitude for the privilege of safety we have.

So I’ve been a little quiet on here, there is less outwards energy rn so honouring that. Thought I would say hello and share this picture my mumma took the other day. Enjoying family time on beaut walks, sharing lots of delicious food and having the village and just how wonderful that feels. See you soon, on the otherside 😘.

👋 Intro Post 👋 I’ve had a few new followers since our move to The Cotswolds…so here goes…

☺️ I’m Jo, a Yoga facilitator in Restorative, Yin, Embodied Flow, Pregnancy and Post-natal yoga, Reiki Level 1 Practitioner and Mamas retreat space holder.

🐌 I am passionate about sharing slower, nurturing, embodied practices that help you find your way back to yourself amongst the chaos of life.

🌺 As a mother, and typically someone who takes on way too much stuff, my practice is absolutely the thread that slows me down, keeps me connected to myself and grounded.

🌀 My practice and teaching are strongly inspired by the cycles and seasons of nature and has changed with my own journey through menstrual cycle awareness, miscarriage, pregnancies, and motherhood.

🤰 I’m mama to my three year old girl and currently preggo due in August. Feeling all the feels about growing our family. I found the transition into mamahood first time around quite a ride but feeling more empowered and trusting this time around.

✨I love supporting mamas through the retreats, gifting them space to feel into what’s there, wherever they are in their mama hood journey.

🌲 Time outside in the countryside on muddy walks, cosy cafe dates and real, raw, honest conversation are my thang. I barely drink but I am still always down for house music and drum and bass.

💜 My offerings are an opportunity for you to feel into what’s there with kindness and curiosity. When you come to a class/retreat, you can expect a warm and welcoming space, a restful practice, and plenty of somatic inquiry.

I’ve been a little quieter on here than usual. Something about pregnancy makes me want to keep myself to myself a bit and just let my body focus on the amazing-ness that is growing a baby.

I’m also aware of how pregnancy announcements might bring about a mix of emotion for so many of us - me included at different points in my life. So holding those feelings close to my heart too 💜

Here we are, pre class . For all the anxieties that may pop up, to be able to work in a way that brings me into presence is just the best. And these practices that bring me home time and time again and back into trust in my body and what’s it’s capable of.

You can catch me here or on retreat up until end of July!

So here we go again 🤰💜🤪✨.

Its been a wild ride moving our lives to The Cotswolds, especially with the joy of having a flu during it but we are in, my health is back and slowly we’re beginning to find our feet.

🌳 Amelie started her preschool yesterday and they have the cutest forest school. It literally melted my heart to see her running about in the woods.

✨ Last week I started two new classes in Cirencester. It’s a gorgeous studio in a beautiful old farm building, welcoming, calming and with all the soft lighting. A literal slice of heaven.

➡️ You can find me here on:
Mondays @ 7:30pm for Yin Yoga
Fridays (alternate) @ 5:00pm for Restorative Yoga.
Booking directly with the studio.

🧘‍♀️I’ll also be hosting my first mamas day retreat here in the coming months and will share details soon.

Sharing a few images and words from the last few weeks. Hope to see you soon 💜

It feels apt to share these beautiful words by before I take a little social media break. This year and right now has been the continuous reminder to fill up my cup and build my capacity in the little ways, each and every day. To be to hold space for my little one, friends, family, absorb and take action on what is going on in the world and serving this wonderful community of mamas.

It’s been a big lesson for me since becoming a mama that I cannot do all those things and expect to not feel like s**t a lot of the time if I’m not considering my needs in the little and bigger ways.

Simple things like drinking enough water, keeping my blood sugar levels up, moving my body, taking the nidra nap, saying no, catching myself when I’m taking on too much, feeling it all even the sludgy and dark stuff and being honest with what’s in the tank.

Thank for being here in these squares, in classes and at the retreats. Grateful to call this work and to share the stuff I’m learning with you.

With a big move impending, it’s time to give my energy to that.

Wishing you a restful Christmas and New Year whether you celebrate or not. And one that feels true to you (not anyone else’s expectations of that should be!) See you on the other side 💜 xx
